I think this is more like it...
GBNY logos?
@damodar: I think it looks more like an old beat up back of a poker card, but it still works. Nicely done!
The Queen of Diamonds, perhaps? <>
@screamingghost: Wunderbar! I mean, 'yo check this out!
@monkeyking1969: You gave me a great idea that I didn't quite pull off as well as I would have liked.
And to make fitting with "GB as a sitcom" more obvious.
@damodar: Well, now I think you need to make the other face cards. XD
There are a lot of great ideas in this thread. Lot of fun images and it got my juices flowing so I wanted to make a few myself. Keep them coming duders.
Those are incredible.
Wow, there's some really great stuff in this thread now! It inspired me to actually try to do something decent.
Apologies to @monkeyman04 for shamelessly thieving his idea of modifying the Knicks' logo.
I want a shirt of this now.
Actually, I'd want a shirt of pretty much all the logos in this thread.
If someone could do one in the style of The New Yorker that'd be great.
It's not the best one in here, but I fucking love it!
@sgtsphynx: Bad timing on my part haha.
@emofratparty: I'd say yours is better than mine. Also did all of mine except the one in the opening post in Paint.net.
@sgtsphynx: Haha hey, yours is pretty fancy too! Not having Photoshop sucks. I don't like the fact that I have to get good at free programs to create anything even remotely representing...something.
tried my hand in this Giant Bomber thing. I cheated a little by keeping the original "THE" so that's why there's still the little design on the "T".
@emofratparty: I know what you mean, changing that shirt to black was way harder and time consuming than I thought it would be.
@emofratparty: @sgtsphynx: Nice work. A parody of this would be cool:
Trying to replicate the "The Late shot with David Letterman" logo. Not finished, but just wanted to show you what I have so far.
@sgtsphynx: @evo: @emofratparty: Thanks for the incredible inspiration you guys! I've been drawing a lot in the past few days, thought I'd try my hand at it. Not sure how to incorporate Alex at this point, whether as a mirrored new yorker duder or a wolf or what-have-you. Any suggestions are welcome.
@vinny: You're awesome and totally bound for great stuff in New York. Whether or not anything in this thread is used by y'all, I wanted you to have this.
edit: I should mention that this is a hand drawn/traced recreation; my dad thought I had just photoshopped the bomb/face/title >___<
@gelatinousgelboy: THOSE ARE FUCKING AWESOME! I'm so jealous of your drawing skills.
@monkeyman04: Sincerely, thank you. Ploughing through it in a couple hours was fun but those swoopy lines are so, so clean and so, so incredibly hard to replicate. My poor ⌘ Z keeyyys :0
@gelatinousgelboy: ARGH YOU UNBELIEVABLE FUCKER!
@damodar: Oh my god I am so sorry :<
I really love yours though, way more expressive! If I wasn't working so closely (read tracing/etc.) from the original, I really doubt mine would have turned out at all.
@gelatinousgelboy: Thanks! I really like yours, the treatment of Vinny's hair is great and the way you basically create a silhouette of the ear with his hair is a really elegant solution that works wonderfully. I wish I'd thought of it, ears are problematic...
And yeah, trying to emulate those big, graceful, sweeping lines is hard! I pressed CTRL+Z a lot!
I think this is pretty perfect
but I think all of these are great
@selbie: Not that I know of...
I just thought that bomb and Bronx were kinda similar sounding... and I knew the Bronx was in New York.
@icyeyes: Nice! Love the Alex as Sunny part.
@gelatinousgelboy@sgtsphynx: @evo:
Aaaaaand we have a winner.
@damodar: @gelatinousgelboy: haha, top job to the both of you.
@gelatinousgelboy: This is the best fan art I've seen on the site.
this is outstanding... would wear on a t-shirt...
@gelatinousgelboy: ARGH YOU UNBELIEVABLE FUCKER!
@gelatinousgelboy: ARGH YOU UNBELIEVABLE FUCKER!
The only word for this is SUBLIME
I'm with the others. This is pretty much perfect.

Considering brand recognizability and awareness, this is the go to logo. The original logo is immediately recognizable, and the crown is an iconic representation of the statue of liberty, conveying the meaning of the logo to the viewer with little to no cognitive reasoning needed. Both elements are established images that, when combined, perfectly conveys the logos meaning. But this really doesn't matter as I highly doubt they will split into two websites. Several of the other art pieces here would be great for a podcast though. I especially likes those new yorker inspired.
Not a logo, but I was bored heh
That's great!
@monkeyman04: He got the Mango Sentinel!
