I was under the impression most of those protestors were already gainfully unemployed. I look forward to the spontaneous rainbows that will sprout in unison all over the world in response to this empty gesture.

I get the underlying concern that the protesters feel. More and more jobs are shipped overseas and America is teetering on the brink of an outright caste system, with politicians more concerned about primaries than doing their fucking jobs. But this is so the wrong way to express these concerns. Simply shutting oneself away from the world is not the answer.

@Buzzkill: Don't we kind of demand that the entertainment industry be as lax as possible? It's the tryhards that are focused on reaching a mass-audience that piss us off. I would rather watch somebody doing what they love than what they think I want to see.

I can definitely do this. I got plenty of comics and paperback books that I can read under candlelight when the sun goes down. I also have a cooler, so I'll just load it up with ice and throw everything I have in the fridge into that.
