Giant Bomb March Madness 2016 Bonanza!

Hey all, anybody interested in doing a giant bomb tourney pick'em again for this upcoming ncaa basketball tournament? I know last year we had quite a few people take part but kinda want to see how much interest there is this year. If there's quite a few people I'll try and get another one set up for this year or if there's already one out there set for gb I'll go ahead and join that one.

The school where I teach made it into the tourney (Even if it is just one of those crappy play-in games, let's go #DunkCity), so I'm all hyped up for it. I'm totally in.

Wow more than half of the group picked MSU to win it all (myself included). I'm guessing a few people will be mathematically eliminated by the end of today.

RIP, 2 seeds always have a chance of losing, 1 seeds never do. Well done tourney committee. Next year MSU makes final four as a 10 seed, ranked 3 year after that knocked out second round; and the cycle continues. Props to the other team though, can't hate on a 15 seed. Dumb threes, story of the NCAA tourney.

I never did a bracket this year, but all I can say is if you're a Virginia fan, you have to be happy seeing Sparty lose this early. The last two years MSU has knocked off Virginia in the tournament and the thought of Sparty knocking them out for a third straight year is gone.

I like Sparty, but its nice to see a school like MTSU get a moment of glory beating a 2 seeded juggernaut. Still waiting for a 16 seed to beat a 1 seed. Maybe Holy Cross can do it? No they won't.

I'm not in the GB group, just doing a bracket with some friends but this is the worst I've ever done in a bracket ever. I've never basically been out of the running after day 2 before. 4 of my elite 8 are already done, my final 4 is 75% intact but I had MSU winning it all so I'm in trouble. I'm in a like 5 way tie for 7th (out of 13) and like 46% of the group had MSU taking it all so that's not the worst for me, however I have the absolute lowest PPR in the entire group so I'm not feeling great. It sucks cause I've finished top 3 in all of my brackets over the past 5 years or so, just started playing for money last year and I got second, which wasn't too bad but of course the year we up it to $20 per person is the year my bracket explodes early. Oh well, life goes on.

This year more than ever feels like it's gonna be the underdogs year. Well maybe except for those 2 years Butler when to the NCAA championship games and lost.

@i_stay_puft: Well now we're at the sweet 16 and a lot of familiar faces are in. Some are seeded lower than you'd expect but pretty much every team remaining is known for having a strong college basketball program.

I shall henceforth call the Cuse v. Virginia game of ought '16 The Great Collapse, sending my bracket to the bottom of the sea in a devastated rubble, like most of Winterhold in 4E 122. Tis a sad day.

Never thought that I would end up winning this thing.
