I feel that with all of the events and adversities the GB crew has gone through, especially considering the birth of the website, it would make for a damn good movie. The theme could range, but I would imagine it would just be an uplifting film about a group of guys that stood up for something and fought through adversity to get to where they're at. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy, but the story of GiantBomb so far is just so damn interesting in the culture of video games.

What do ya'll think?

Can Chris Waters just play everybody? No Waters, no deal.

To actually answer the question though, I'm not sure if it would make a good movie just yet. But I'm pretty bad with these kinda things :P

@exiledastronaut: I also feel like it would be lacking a solid conclusion, but conclusions vary with theme and plot. That's why I think the conclusion could be drawn from almost any event depending on the direction the movie decides to go

A giant Bomb movie has been something I've been thinking about for a while, although not in the way you mentioned.

Do you think when things are all said and done, we could turn 2-3 hours worth of the highest quality Giant Bomb content into a cohesive, well paced and edited Giant Bomb movie? Would it work?

Would be nice to have and watch on occasion years from now when Giant Bomb is no more, and you don't have the time to hunt down and watch the good stuff.

@mozzle: Course, that'd be a great watch! But I believe that there really is something of a story to be told with GiantBomb (It's birth mainly), much in the same way Jobs or Pirates of Silicon Valley did.

i was just thinking about this the other day. We'd laugh, we'd cry, and we'll anticipate the future (GB East!). It'd make an amazing movie, just that I could not imagine anyone playing any of the Giantbomb crew.

It's funny, I've actually thought quite a few times that, as you've put it, the events and adversities of the group would make for a compelling film. hmm...

Simon Pegg would have to play Brad, obviously.

...

That's all I've got.

I always imagined the crew starring in a Bad Boys style action movie.

Jeff gave a mediocre score for a video game that advertised on his employer's website so they fired him. Then a while later he started a goofy website of his own.

The other 99% of the movie would have to be invented Hollywood drama bullshit like any other movie "based on true events". So fill it with yelling, drugs, whores, more yelling, gunplay, and someone rolling around on a pile of cash.

I'm thinking either Liam Neeson or Morgan Freeman could voice Cool Baby. He could be a narrator of sorts.

I'm getting more of a Drew vibe of him to be honest. Anyway whoever played Brad would have to have a real commitment to performance as they would need to do a Robert Di Nero/Raging Bull type transformation. The plus side is the Oscar people love that sort of shit....

I could see myself squirming uncomfortably in a chair like I would sometimes do when watching something like The Office, would I have to watch an actual GB movie.

So maybe a documentary if something.

I'm diggin Simon Pegg as Brad & Mark Boone Jr. as Jeff. And Kevin James as Ryan would just be PERFECT! No doubt about it.

Gonna add the casting suggestions to OP
