"ZombieHunter said:jeez thats actually a real steady decline :P"suneku said:Damn Straight!!"Looks like GiantBomb is truly awesome."FACT!"

IGN:
Bwahahahahah they are all feeling the effects of GIANT BOMB"
Well, GB has nothing on Google :p
Plus, GS and IGN numbers always go down in the summer. But in the end, who cares if those sites do good or bad? I mean I still use the forums on Gamespot.
"I hope GB gets bigger and better. The more people here the more fun it is."yeah its like a fire O wait never mind :P
"Well, GB has nothing on Google :pYeah, look at even GiantBomb's July traffic. Its called July! You always have that mid to late summer lull. It will really pick back up once fall releases start to hit!

Wow interesting to see the actual numbers and comparison.
There has been a decline in IGN and Gamespot but I think you should do the comparison. Gamespot and IGN has a much bigger audience than this site -- plus the advantage of lots of lesser news sites linking into their articles and a huge back catalogue of reviews. Not to mention top ten Google rankings for virtually every video game related search on Google.
Here's the sites being compared:
Alexa isn't the best source anyway.
I would be interested to know what the actual traffic is. I don't think this site's ever going to compete with Gamespot and IGN. Hopefully if the Search Engine Optimisation has been done well the site should get a lot of decent exposure on Google (what with the whole Wiki thing) -- but I think the main draw of attraction to this site are the message boards (which admittedly are slowing down a touch) and obviously the "team vibe" they have going on here.
And by "team vibe" I mean the way you feel "invested" in Jeff, Ryan, Brad and Vinny. They put themselves out there and stamp the personality and opinion on everything and I think that's GiantBomb's biggest draw. Like Kotaku stamps it's personality all over it's articles but I don't feel I know anything about Brian Crecente whereas I feel like I KNOW Jeff.
