Good idea?
Bad idea?
I think it should be done (Hell I would if I knew how), it be utter awesome and I would totally pay for it. I don't think the iPhone should be the only one to have a GB ap, since not everyone has an iPhone.
Giantbomb Blackberry app

" hell, why don't they make a computer game? something crazy in flash or something. "
They should just make a spaceship a la Wall-E. Jeff could do the morning announcements every day.
" @ahriman22: yes i believe its the Canadian company RIM (research in motion) that approves these apps. "RIM is the company that made the Blackberry, I've even been to their HQ since it's only an 1 hour away from Toronto (I live in Montreal, but I go to Toronto often).
I want my Ipod Touch app :( When u see apps such as "How hot are you!?" pass u cant help but wonder why the f*** there's no GB app....
gotta hate apple at times xP
What kind of features would we get with a GB app? Acces to the wiki? Access to the profile pages? I would definitely download this app, but if it costs money count me out. I could just use the internal browser to get the same stuff for free. I am curious though, what sort of things would be included on the app?
" Schyeah. Do want. @KaosAngel said:To many icons on the front page." What's a Blackberry? "This. (0_o)

Just get a proper phone and you can just use the regular site. ;)
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 with a 800x480 screen (double tap in a area to zoom in), touchscreen, hardware keyboard (slide out) and a 1Mb connection ftw. ;)
To quote:
A dingleberry is a dried piece of fecal matter clinging to the hairs around your anus. No matter how hard you try to shake a dingleberry loose, it stays put. It’s a condition that most often afflicts long-haired dogs, but dingleberries are also commonly found in hairy humans (like our Uncle Kermit).
But please do name the phones that are superior.
So unless they got their own phone with amazing specs hidden on their site somewhere, or you got a regular phone with a different name on it.
Mind posting the names of these models? Or perhaps describing them, do they have a hardware keyboard? Are they running Windows Mobile, what resolution etc etc.
Because I can easily find out what kind of phone it is if I know the resolution, os etc.
The first would be the Sharp SX862, for your information that makes it a Sharp, not a Softbank. While the specs are impressive considering the size, it still lacks things like touchscreen, hardware keyboard, wlan, GPS and that it's limited to 2 gigs micro SD cards to name a few key features.
The Toshiba, again not a Softbank, has no specs listed, however since it doesn't even list it's resolution I'm gonna assume it's lower then the Sharp and that while it's a good looking phone, it's just not upto par with the high end HTC phones.
The last one looks pretty good, however except for the slightly higher resolution (1024x480 vs 800x480) at the cost of it being way bigger, I really see no advantages, from what I've read the operating system is all but great, because it's unknown there is very little you can do about it, whereas Windows Mobile allows navigation stuff on it's start page, so you can have a lot of options and it's still lacking a hardware keyboard. Ofcourse it's still unknown what kind of CPU is in it, the memory and all those things.
I wouldn't call them bad phones, they look good, i really like the Toshiba, but you have to understand that HTC is 1 of the top PDA phone makers, it's what they do, infact for years that's all that they did, and what they did for SE was basicly make the Xperia with the same hardware as their own HTC Touch Pro.
By all means prefer your own phone, it's a good thing if you prefer your own stuff, but to claim your phones beat the Xperia is just a load of crap, it's based on nothing at all, not the specs, not the features, not the software, not the battery time, all except for that resolution on that 1 Sharp, it all takes a backseat to the Xperia, and that really isn't that weird seeing as it's 700 euro.

Oh and try to remember that Softbank is just a provider, they don't make the phones, if I put a sticker of a Ferrari on a Peugeot, then it's still a Peugeot.
