Giantbomb Questions followed up after an introduction.
I will keep my introduction rather concise.I won't disclose any information about myself but willing to greet the community, moderators and staff as I have just arrived here and to note this will be my first post.
As for the reason
My account has been established for many months with a clean record from any moderation until I got "banhammered" from Gamespot only for being associated to another Gamespot account. The associated account is banhammered for harassing another user. The associated account was merely spotted on a topic with the accuser/user due to similarities of the name; Scianix-White, Scianix-Black and as things progressed, conversations established throughout days together, the associated account decided to construct a signature depicted both the accused and the accuser's avatar along with the words "bad blood" in the middle only to assert their relations had in that topic; The Laid Back Lounge and had it emailed for approval. The accuser felt it was weird and sought Ask The Mods! and from thereon, it is explained above.I've been with Gamespot since '06 with several accounts, I have never breached any policy purposely, some moderations I've had throughout the years with different accounts were of negligence, things I questioned without intentional harm or knowing it would aggrevate users. Now, I am done going to that site forever. Personally, I've learned that the biggest fault Gamespot does is hiring moderators to monitor forums without reasonable requirements. ie a teenager could become a moderator within days.
I had two friends that were ex-gamespot users and been there longer than I had, one of them banhammered for accumulating a small amount of moderations over 2.5 yrs. They were small offences like trolling, I mean, I looked at it and it seriously looked like he didn't mean it. The other friend was banned for calling a mod a idiot - took a look at the post he saved, the mod typed like a 14 year old; gramma problems, typos, some of the sentence didn't make sence as he was addressing to a user. He called him a idiot because the moderator based assumptions on opinions, not on facts and deemed himself 'correct'.
As for the questions
After doing a huge amount of research on this website which eliminated a huge portion of questions. I do have a few remaining questions if the community is willing to answer.1. Are users able to upload videos on a game page? A game page is where anyone could propose a submission of a game that has no information on this already to a staff for review or perhaps a moderator.
2. What are the ways that points can be accumulated besides contributing time to add certain information to a game page?
3. Would Giantbomb staff or site technicians offer more game flashplayers on the front page, similar to Gamespot? Where users could simply pick a tab; PS3, 360, PC and click on the flashplayers of a proposed game associated to that system. Currently I am aware that the information provided, news are the only source of information provided with pictures and videos on the frontpage in headlines and blog format which is default. Currently I'm aware that this wonderful site does not have a staff consisting the amount of a army regime which I hope it does in the future :)
EDIT: Appreciate the community and moderators for answering the questions that were written on this page before it was edited.
