Good Anime Series?

Hi guys, I'm a pretty big fan of a good anime series, recently i've been watching:
Bleach
Ghost in the Shell

What i want to know, is what you guys watch, and also ones that you think that I would like if i like Bleach and Ghost in the Shell. There are heaps of other anime's out there but alot of them suck and dont really grasp me.

So yeah, any help as to what good anime series are about that i could watch.

Loveless is fucking amazing, one of the most beautiful animes ever.

Samurai Champloo, Hellsing, Death Note sort of and for comedy The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I just got into Code Geass last night and I watched the first 8 episodes.  That is a damn good anime so far.

I suggest pokemon.

FLCL (Furi Kuri) on the top it just seems like another mindless crazy anime.. but once you get the back story and look behind the craziness its an amazing anime

I'd rather an amazing 6 episode anime.. than a 100+ episode anime with fillers and crap

Desert Punk is definitely worth a watch. It's got a lot of adult humor and a lot of gun battles and such to keep you interested.

I've been there and done the whole Pokemon/DBZ... I watched them all on the morning Cartoon show before primary school/high school (CheezeTV for you aussies :P).

There are some good recommendations, thankyou to everyone for that. I guess i'll have to start aquiring them all now so i can start watching them!!! Some hours ahead of me i thinks :P.

Trigun is his favorite anime series of all time.

Not too big into anime in general, a lot seem to be aimed at like the  teen audience,with going a bit darker or violent,only to have certain cliche's of childish moments or humor that feel awkward(just the way the japanese do things I guess)..but I'd have to say the ones I like most are GitS and Death Note.

Wow nobody has said Evangelion which arguable the best anime series ever. Great story, action, drama that thing had everything there even sortof remaking the series. Cowboy Bebop is pretty awesome as well there supposed to be making a live action version. The Gundam series is also a great classic.

Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are my absolute favorite.

Cowboy bebop and Evangelion are the best anime ever made EVER. Now with that said the ones im watching right now are Code Geass R2 and Macross Frontier =D, Geass is damn awesome imagine if Kira but a little less evil piloted a gundam and was trying to destroy an evil empire(the whole world) with a small army, the writing in that show is pure genius T_T. And Macross is just very robotech which is nice if u like that type of shows.

There are a ton more i could recommend but i sugest u start from here.

Bleach doesn't bother me much,I've watch a bit of it and its ok.. but I'll never get Naruto's appeal. Not bashing it to any fans to like it so don't flame me or something,i'll just never get it. A lot of people say it has a "amazing" story that is definitely not  "childish",but when the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of the show is a 12 year old looking kid in an orange jogging suit(looks like one at least) said to be a ninja with the kind of dialogue you would hear from a 2nd grader,it just doesn't do it.
