Good Anime Series?

i am by no means a anime expert or fanatic, ive only seen a few series but i really enjoyed

Rurouni Kenshin
Trigun
Cowboy Bebop
Bleach
Deathnote

i have also seen Naruto and Dragonball/Z/GT which i hated those series, i don't understand the hype and love around them.

Groan. Doesn't anyone here watch anything besides Adult Swim anime? It's like saying you are a hardcore gamer because you play minesweeper and solitaire on your computer.

I dont think thats the case, i remember when robotech came here it wa scalled ROBOTECH. When i started watching Macross Frontier(it was my first macross) i noticed a lot of similarities and tought hmm i think these must be the same  guys who made Robotech but that was not the case. The first Macross came out 2 years b4 the first Robotech in the late 70's. Now the weird thing is that im trying to look for that info and cant find it =S.

Really Macross Frontier is your first one, I subject to watch Macross ZERO since there many reference in Frontier.

little fun fact about Macross, also all of them has insane production value, from "Macross Do you remember Love" all the way to "Frontier" were sometime it field like your watch a movie not a weekly series.

I have Macross Frontier, but I'm going to wait until the full season is out until I watch it. Looks like a quality-anime.

Why is everyone hating on Naruto?  It's not the fantastic thing its popularity would suggest, but you're just a stubborn asshole if you say it's not worth watching (60 episode filler marathon notwithstanding)

Well.. Shippuuden has pretty much sucked all along, and the fillers are crap (old and new).
But the original Naruto, up to the fillers is great in my opinion.

I like Shippuden better than the original, but indeed the whole Naruto series has way too much filler

And with a long anime like that it feels like they put quantity over quality. If you watch a short, great anime, then go back to watching Naruto or Bleach, it feels really slow and boring. At least it does for me.

Plus, I think you're forgetting that there's something in this world called tastes. I'm sure that I don't like everything you like, so if you can't find what's so incredible with it, then that's your loss. I personally love it, but you don't have to.

Meh, I liked Naruto, when it didn't show 50 million filler episodes.  If the series actually gets back on track to the actual story, I may get back into it, but for now, it's just so completely meh.

Full Metal Alchemist is the best anime in my opinion by a long shot.

I don't watch anime as much as I used to but animes I still watch are:

FMA
Ghost in the Shell: SAC
GITS movies are also cool
DBZ - I own all sagas on dvd except 1
Naruto

Dragons Ball Z is the greatest anime series ever imagined, created, writting it doesent matter. Dragon Ball above all
