Google Chrome is now the fastest browser
Here's some fun javascript things to play around with.
just tested here, FF is 4 seconds faster, and it is noticable
never tried chrome.
i love the addon support for FF and thats pretty much why I use it. is there similar support for chrome?
I use firefox as my default and SRWare Iron which is Chrome with ad blocking and without google logging everything I do.
Will check out version 5 when it becomes a stable release or better yet an SRWare version.
" @Arkasai: not for meOh...well you tested something completely different :P The link I posted runs JavaScript games and mini-programs. Whereas I think the test you did was for connection speed.

But yeah, in terms of features Chrome is severely lacking still. The gaps are narrowing with each new release though.
I was a firefox user for over 5 years. Used Chrome for a month along side FF to test the water. I uninstalled FF three months ago and haven't looked back.

"Same, though I still have Firefox for backup. There are a few sites that will not render on Chrome (usually financial sites, many of which are still IE and Netscape only) so I pop them open in FF.
" For those concerned with no AdBlock for Chrome, get Privoxy's software and add their proxy to your proxy settings. I think you click the wrench > options > under the hood to get there. Works just the same as AdBlock for me. "Or you could just get Adblock for Chrome.
" @Arkasai said:Oh hey, didn't realize they made one for Chrome. I've been using the proxy method for a long time, and the software is only like 300kb." *golf clap*
Someone please explain to me why I have to use a combination of all three to properly browse the web? What? People can't fucking test their websites properly anymore?
It's bullshit. I've used IE all my life and it's never ever failed me, until the latest version when it just fucks about and refuses to load web pages. FireFox? Piece of shit I hate it, but some
sites just work better on there. Chrome? Sure it's great, has some issues that piss me off, but i'm basically forced to use it as my default now, don't have a choice.
I've found claims of Chrome being faster to be a bit overblown. In everyday use, it doesn't make a difference. On my system, Firefox has always been at least as fast. I've also had problems with Chrome displaying some pages, problems I never have with Firefox. So, for now, I'm sticking with Firefox.
I love my Firefox, but I'm now on the verge of making the switch myself. I predict Firefox will be uninstalled within the next 3 months.
Now, is there an update or something i should get to apply these new improvements ?
That's very, very true. At this year's Pwn2Own contest (where hackers and security experts use their hacks to gain control of a computer through a web browser) Chrome was the only browser not compromised. In fact, no one attending had any exploits to attempt on the browser." chrome is also the safest browser far and away since it sandboxes everything and uses windows native security limits on what they can do. Also I love its smart bar being able to type in imdb or someother website hit tab then what I want to search for is so good "
