google images has a new look
It is really awesome, and the images are all larger so it is easier to see what is in them, when you move over an image it gets bigger, and then shows you the link, and possibly a caption on the picture, when you click on the image there is a new setup which i like a lot better.
so, go try it out, see if you like it.......
do you love it, or do you hate it, or are you just meh about it?
i myself like it a lot better
I like it! Admittedly, it's probably not going to be as slick in older browsers, or browsers that do not support some features and stuff. It's good though in Firefox and Chrome, which are the two browsers I really use. I'm not too concerned with how it looks as long as I can find the images I need though.
I need images to google, somebody name a sexy lady, quick!
EDIT: Nevermind, I named one for myself. By the way, Kate Beckinsale is fucking hot.
I think since last year's redesign, Google has been consistently moving further away and away from their clinical and functional design and they're getting more and more flashy every couple of months. I don't like where they're going.
" Man, looking at porn is gonna be WAY harder to hide now. "you can zoom out, and it will show more images, just smaller, and i recommend an actual site for that.
" It's still the old version in Canada. "Yeah, same. Not much of a big deal, but I suppose if you liked the old version you can hop on the Canadian site until that one gets updated too.
Not sure if I'm pleased with the new redesign. It'll take time getting used to it. Not to mention, trying to refind that certain image will be a bitch with the therefor lack of pages. Then again, its always been a bitch.

Noticed yesterday. I hate it.
The pictures seem a lot more likely to send you to a site where the image is no longer hosted. Plus the way it handles pages turns into a huge mess after you get through what would have been a few traditional pages. Another thing, it looks a lot like Bing. And this is coming after they redesigned their regular search screen to display results in a way that's eerily similar to Bing.
Me no like.
I use this add-on to firefox called CoolIris. It's even better than this and I suggest people go and check it out. It looks like this though and you can scroll through thousands of images quickly and click to enlarge. It works for YouTube and Facebook images as well...

I've also updated Firefox recently, and I'm wondering if there's not something wonky afoot due to that... *frown*

It might be a local issue... my firefox was updated as well to the latest version and still works. However, CoolIris hasn't been re-updated to match the newer version so that may be the issue for you.
I hate how my old blog post on GameSpot shows up when you search for GiantBomb on google images. It's the Alice in Wonderland picture... I had complained about GB's site design when it first came about. Now I am embarrassed about those statements... lol
