Does anyone else use the currency tracker gadget in Windows 7 to keep track of exchange rates for fun?

I've been tracking Great British pounds vs. U.S. Dollars. The lowest I've seen it is 1£ to $1.59. Right now it's 1£ to $1.63. On January 1 it was blank and just said "null."

I don't think I've ever heard them referred to as Great British pounds.

Make a drinking game out of it!

In the event of economic collapse, you'll die before it affects you. Well, besides the 'getting you killed' part.

That's what they're called, shortened to GBP. Everyone just calls them pounds here though, but when talking on a worldwide scale just simply saying pounds could refer to the currency of lots of other countries.

Whilst probably a joke, what do you think the G in GBP stands for?

I remember just as the Dollar tanked and the American economy shat itself it jumped up to like $2.25 to the pound, just before I went on holiday to Florida. Good times indeed.

Tbf though, now our economy shat itself, even at $1.50 to the pound everything is still super, super cheap there.

That's not even the correct 'phrase'. You're a bad stereotyper.

I'm aware of the original phrase; I just changed it slightly for the joke. C->G isn't that far of a stretch.

I can remember, because I was pounding one out with both hands...nothing turns me one like the fluctuations in international currencies.
