Hope Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum save you all on time again!
Happy Birthday America!
There are different ways to continue this but it's Sunday morning so ill just end it here.
Political views differ from person to person, it's good to have a P.O.V it's just when you have an argument it's good to actually know the other sides point as well. That's why I loath going into a political debate because it will just go into mindless contradiction, this is a big issue (one of many) and I am conservative and liberal about a wide swath of issues, anyone who makes their minds up without looking at the facts is a fucking idiot, to just call yourself Dem/Rep and take the argument at either left or right without looking at the facts your an idiot.
Socialism is both good and bad, but you can say that to almost any form of economic theory, that’s all that it is, an economic theory, why do people vehemently defend against a certain form against another? god-damn we are in this mess now because of attitude it is not the ideals it's the people and the attitudes of the people, not the form of government, not the from that our economy is based upon, it is the selfishness and greed of the people in charge and it does not matter which form that it's based on we will always have those kind of people in powerful positions.
I am going to end it there as I want to relax as it is the weekend.
" @jakob187:I've been to France, Germany, England, and Greece and I'm American. I don't mind the Socialism in France and I think it would be nice to have the services they have but the taxes they have to pay for the services are ridiculous. I personally like England because it is still a Capitalism but they give their citizens free healthcare. Also (even though this has nothing to do with their government) the museums are free! :)Do you think that’s good or bad?
"
Are you American? If so have you been to a European country? Do you think socialism is bad? if so why?
Etc, etc
"Yes, Happy Birthday indeed, America. As your birthday present, President Obama would like to legally change your name to the United Socialist States of America. = D "Good old USSA.
YAY MERICA! BLOW SHIT UP TO CELEBRATE THE DAY WE TOLD ENGLAND TO FUCK THEMSELVES!

" @Stang:My cardinal rule is not to speak about politics on the internet, but I will say this. A lot of the shit Obama is pushing is extremely anti-capitalistic. Last time I checked, we have always been a country based on capitalism, so pushing socialistic policies does not sit well with a whole lot of people. He is completely fucking up the health care sector, pushing cap and trade to further his bullshit venture of cleaner energy alternatives (solar...what the fuck?) and jacking up capital gains taxes (at the worst time imaginable to add insult to injury) to the point that investing in anything outside of saving bonds is unattractive. That last point angers me the most. There are different ways to continue this but it's Sunday morning so ill just end it here.

I don't align myself with any political party, it is all bullshit grandstanding to me. At the end of the day, politicians are doing what is best for them, not the majority. Just like I did not like a lot of Bush's policies, I disagree with many of Obama's.
I feel dirty now :(
hmmm, well it's good to see that you are not just someone that blindly answers questions, and also aligns with either party blindly, I live in New Zealand so we are more or less lefties with capitalist undertones, we are very agriculture and more distribution & logistics so whilst we are a clean and green country we don’t have a cap & trade although our last government tried to bring one into law, It's one way that companies can make a bit of dosh out of a pending disaster. (environment issue)
This is something that should be a forefront discussion but I am going to condense it for time. I am pissed off with this issue.
my generation has been saddled with the elephant in the room. While my kids and grandkids are going to be saddled with the affects, why aren’t we upset about this. (oh right we play games, and are being dumbed down by the media and fucking texting) The environment that we live in now is comfortable, we take it for granted how good we have it, Cheap gas, Cheap food, Cheap travel, Consumables, Consumerism.
We rape the land (and that’s our fathers and our grandfathers fault,) that we are being brought up in the mindset to continue to rape the land to continue to walk blindly whilst the walls close in on us, and we think that if we ignore it it will go away. (It Wont) What will happen when gas hits $200 a barrel, what will happen when we have millions of refugees from (war, famine, natural disasters Etc) and so on.
We need gutsy politicians to stand up to these companies that are making massive profits of the back of our future, remember it's not the leaders we want but it's the leaders we need, and often we don’t even know whats good for us.
Moving on from the environment now and on to another point you made.
Health Care.
Why don't you want this to be fixed? from my understanding you can only get health-care from a Insurance company and then they will do anything under the sun to not to pay even though you have paid your premiums, I don't see why you would not want a health care system like ours, I get sick go to the doctor pay 15 bucks and get better, why would you not want this.
Last one.
Capitalism, just saying that oh hey you know we always had capitalism so why would I change now, well look as I said it's not the ideals it's the people, people are greedy etc etc.
I am going to have dinner now ill come back later.
" Yes, Happy Birthday indeed, America. As your birthday present, President Obama would like to legally change your name to the United Socialist States of America. = D "ahaha I knew something like this would be the first reply
Ain't nothing but a heartache
" Because celebrating a birthday by blowing stuff up with pretty colors is the only way to be! "The US national anthem is the only anthem in the world which has bombs and rockets blowing up in it. Should it really surprise you.
" @DOUBLESHOCK said:Cycling takes a lot of strength and endurance. The pro cyclists are amazing. Like traveling 50+ kilometers in one hour in the velodrome... that's holding that speed for one hour on a normal road bike! Or sprinters reaching highway speeds... I guess it's boring to watch though if you aren't into it, same way it'd be boring for me to watch people running a marathon or something." @PeasForFees said:I mean as a sport "" @Kouerson said::( what's wrong with cycling?
