This show may have been before some people's time as it aired in the mid-80's to the early nineties. Night Court is a sitcom that features the night shift at the Manhattan Criminal Court Building. It was considered the launching pad of many actors' careers. I'm sure some of you know who Brent Spiner is? He's the guy who plays Data in Star Trek: TNG, he played a hick from West Virginia as shown here:
Has anyone ever watched Night Court?
I loved this as a kid. Roz beating dudes up. Markie Post before Lifetime Movies, and The Velvet Fog, MEEEEEL Torme! That's a great clip, BTW.
So how is this a valid post .. If i were to have done this it would have got locked down..But if you can get away with it more power to you.. Just my observation... Take care.......

Night Court was a good sitcom. The best? Never. OK? You bet your ass. I was born in '81. This show was good for me as a kid. That clip FrankCanada97 posted was what he was posting about. I watched that episode. Telling me that was Data, MIND BLOWN! The funny is inherent. For those who know. BULL, bitches!
You are not my brother. The Mods sent you nothing?

Yeah, for me the first three or four seasons were great. But in the later seasons, things got a little unrealistic.
" I watched this show religiously as a kid. "So did I. I had no idea that was Data till now.
I used to watch it, sure. In fact, I watched Harry Anderson on SNL when he was doing stand up and crafting his image. Later he had a reoccurring character on Cheers. Anderson employed a lot of magic in his acts back then, so those aspects of his routine carried over to both his Cheers character and Judge Stone on Night Court.
One of the things I remember most about the series was the comedic formula. The show during its entire run was basically (1) the set up (2) the payoff. Some one would say something like "Well, for the that to happen, rats would have to have taken over the cafeteria." And then someone would burst in and say "Rats have taken over the cafeteria and are demanding more cheese!" You could really see the jokes coming a mile off, especially as the series progressed.
Another thing I remember are the two "Selmas" which were really Selma Diamond and Florence Halop but they looked and sounded so much alike, who could tell the difference. Both died during the shows run and were replaced by "Roz."
In addition to Brent Spiner's frequent roles, and that of Mel Tormé , Yakov Smirnoff also found a recurring role on the show.
