Hey guys. Having a but of trouble with my Xbox 360 at the moment . The HDMI port has been working fine ever since i got it but now it wont seem to connect to the HDMI port on my TV . I have two HDMI T.Vs and the xbox wont establish a connection with either . Now i have checked the seetings on the xbox and set it to a lower 420p so it will read on any HDMI T.V . However that did nothing to help . I believe its a physical problem with either my TVs,my HDMI cable or the HDMI port itself ont he xbox .

(man thats a lot of HDMI)

If you can help that would be great .

Try some more basic troubleshooting.

  1. Try holding in Y and RT as your 360 starts up.  This will reset video settings to default.  If that doesn't work -
  2. Try a different HDMI cable.  if that doesn't work -
  3. Call Microsoft support.

You said you tried it on two different TVs...if that's true, then it's extremely unlikely that both of them suddenly have a problem.  It's your 360 or the HDMI cable.

I think it might be a combination of two things. One my Xbox HDMI port or cable is broken . And two my TVs HDMI port is broken becuase it wont work with my other HDMI port for my computer . How annoying :(

Did you try the 360 on two different TVs or not?  In your original post you say you did, but in subsequent posts it's not clear.

What's more likely...that two TV's simultaneously had their HDMI ports go bad, or that something is wrong with your 360 or the cable?  Did you try any of the troubleshooting steps I suggested?

Yes i just tried them . Your probably correct about the the problem being the xbox. However becuase my computer's HDMI cable does not work with my TV i think my TV has a problem too.

Trust me, it doesn't.  Your TV is fine.  It's your 360 or the cable.  Or user error.
