I'm sure everyone knows how their youtube front page is currently set up. My dad's page layout changed yesterday and I have no idea how to change it back. This is how it looks. You can't click is profile image to bring up the sliding image bar with favorites, likes, history, etc. and it now has that google bar at the top. Can someone help me change it back please?

Don't worry. It's just something that youtube is doing to test new layout changes. It's been happening to me for the last 6 months or so. It sucks, but it will be back to normal soon. It's just some random thing.

YouTube will often randomly test a new layout for a day or so.

It's not a browser issue. It looks the same in chrome and firefox. When I log onto his laptop with my account it looks normal. My sister's account on both browsers also looks normal.

I can't believe youtube would randomly change layouts for users.

Google does this as a sort of release candidate test for changes and to get feedback before unleashing changes on everyone. There's a reason that "Send Feedback" button in the lower right exists. I'd suggest using it though knowing Google your dad (and you, and everyone) should probably just get used to it now because it's not going anywhere.
