Not very. It's the biggest reason I doubt I could do it for a living.
How Fast Do You Type?
About 80 or 90 WPM. In my computer class, we go by GWAM, or Good Words A Minute. It's not enough to be a word; it has to be a GOOD word.
According to typing test, only 86 on my one and only try on Astronauts, but that's with 100% accuracy.
" @Video_Game_King said:I'll give you a clue, Schimdt. Time machine." @SJSchmidt93:
Yes, I type that many words. However, I'm not typing that essay, for several reasons:
"
- I can't think of that much shit.
- Nobody has that much paper.
- You wouldn't be able to read it within 29 of your lifetimes.
- Who the hell are you, my teacher?
"
- You've attained the skill of typing 540000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 words per mintue, but you've done so without a great mind? Without the ability to just write and write and write of the top of your head?
- Who said you needed paper? It's the 21st century.
- I can't think of anything to combat that, yet. But I will, I will.
- Maybe, YOU DON'T KNOW ME.
I can type steadily at 140 WPM for short bursts, but usually I'll get tired/bored and drop down to 105-110 after a few minutes. It's pretty easy to transcribe things as I hear them, but significantly more difficult to preface each sentence with who's saying it.
Lots of punctuation causes my typing speed to slow to a crawl (around 80WPM or so)
