Not very much.  I always wear jeans and a t-shirt.  So the main thing I have to worry about is what shirt I'm going to wear on what day.

The more weight I lose and the more muscle I gain, the more I care about what I wear.

It's a logarithmic scale of style.

Two guys with suits are the first to reply... Weird :S

Anyway, I've started to take more of an interest in the hopes of getting a girlfriend. But this has gone together with more exercise, better diet, etc. I'm still not up to spending hundreds on single items though, just more being aware of what I'm wearing.

By fashion if you mean brand name then no, i think it's absurd to spend $100+ on a ralph lauren polo when i can get a $10 polo that is made with the same materials and looks the same.

I don't like to wear a slob, like in terms of dirty raggy clothes but in terms of fashion style i could care less, if you wanna rock 80s leather pants and a pink vest jacket go for it but i tend to stay away from people who's lives revolve around shitty overpriced clothing because somehow it makes them feel they are better than you.. in short fuck nautica, abrecrombie, ralph lauren, american eagle and all that other bullshit.

Give me a $10 jeans and a polo and im good to go.

I don't put any thought into it until I step into the closet. Then I think about what I wore over the past week or so and pick out something different.  It's bad to be seen wearing the same thing too often.  People will wonder if you've got no creativity or no clothes.  Either is unacceptable.

Those witty ironic internet meme t-shirts don't make you anywhere as cool or funny as you think they do. Trust me.

I'm either in a 3-piece or shirt and T-shirt. I don't even wear tennis shoes, it's all boots. Why? Waterproof.

Clothes are mostly utility to me.

It depends on the situation of course. If I'm at school I usually don't care as I'm not actively trying to attract a mate nor do I need to conform to a sub culture to gain friendship and acceptance. However, I do pay attention to my clothes at work or while seeking employment as I understand I am being judged on all accounts and unfortunately I do have to conform to certain social norms until I am able to work for myself.

I like wearing t-shirts, hoodies, and track pants. Comfy clothes.

Depends on what people mean by fashion I guess. I don't wear name brands or trendy clothes. And I do dress the same way every day. Always jeans, motorcycle boots, a garage shirt. More rockabilly than anything.

Being fat you can't be picky about what clothes you have. So as long as it's not full of holes, has weird designs, and is a subdued colour scheme then I'm fine with it.

I was like most of you: not that crazy about what you wear but when I got a modeling contract I things changed pretty radically. I'm the worst at shopping though so I'm kinda short on clothes atm, lol.

After working at a job where I have to wear jeans and a tshirt for a few years, I really appreciate the time where I can wear decent clothes.

So when I am not at work its usually slacks and a button up shirt with a sweater-vest.

That said I don't really give a shit. I just wear what sounds good to me. If I could afford it I would just wear a suit all the time.

Seeing the "high fashion designs", I couldn't care less since no matter what I throw on me, it's going to be a lot better than what you see on the runway.

Well, most of the time when you pay for a proper brand, you know you're paying for quality.
Like my Gucci leather dress shoes are extremely comfortable and were so from day one, unlike lesser brands which have to be walked in cause the leather and fit is alot stiffer.
I much prefer wearing a Paul Smith cashmere scarf than a much more affordable Atticus regular cotton scarf if it fits my outfit.
Don't assume that you are just paying for a logo on every item of clothing.

My 13 year old niece is obsessed with abrecrombie/american eagle and she already has that "im better then you" attitude, it's quite annoying that a kid is already a "material" person, a person who is so obsessed with material objects it's sad.

I don't know if every generation has been like this but im sure the tech boom didn't hurt, kids today are completely obsessed with texting and cell phones it's kind of sad, growing up it was either face to face talking or phone calls, we were rarely inside and didn't care what we had long as we were having fun now its all about ipads and iphones and texting and expensive clothes, what really gets me is 12-13 year olds with cell phones, my kid will get a cell phone that makes calls only, a kid doesn't need to be texting 24/7 they need to be productive or out doing something fun, maybe it's because i was born before the big internet/cell phone boom but i just don't understand it, to this day i still don't text or play games on my phone i use it to make phone calls and that's it.. guess im just some bitter old man who hates todays unproductive youth.

Then again i spent alot of time and money in my youth on stupid shit so who knows.. im just babbling on

Not at all - clean, comfortable and functional is good enough.  I'm not very insecure and not particularly trying to impress anybody (and if I were I wouldn't go about it with fancy clothing).  If others get something out if it then, you know, whatever works for them is cool.
