Because that's the correct way.

I say Zed because I am in a country that uses British English. If I was in the US I would say Zee instead. It's easy to adjust.

Accent =/= saying things incorrectly. You all laugh when Will Smith says stuff wrong, but Americans do it on a daily basis. Al-oo-minum? Bah I say.

#27 Posted by CustomOtto (453 posts) -

whoa people from different regions pronounce things differently than me?

some of them don't even speak the same language! haha what dolts.

I pronounce it Zee but Zed is definitely closer to Zeta. Don't know why this is a topic worth calling people idiots over but okay.

I wouldn't say "People from the UK", when it's more "Any English speaker aside from those in the United States".

#33 Posted by mnzy (2911 posts) -

Isn't it hard to distinguish between C and Z when you say "Zee", though?

#34 Posted by ImmortalSaiyan (4676 posts) -

It Dragon Ball Zee not zed.

This. So much. I don't really care about other differences in American English but that one is the worst. Seriously, did you guys misread it or something?

Anyway, 'Zed' since I speak the Queen's.

#36 Posted by fox01313 (5061 posts) -

Used to be zee for me but after a ton of Top Gear UK & other stuff on the BBC America, seems that Zed is now sticking for me as being less confusing.

#37 Posted by N7 (3573 posts) -

It's a letter, not a word. Grow up Canadians.

#38 Posted by mandude (2669 posts) -

I'll have to side with the Britlanders and say Zed.

#39 Posted by FluxWaveZ (19308 posts) -

"Zee" and I'm from Canada.

#40 Posted by artgarcrunkle (970 posts) -

@AlexW00d: Actually we changed it out of respect for the Power Rangers who have been relentlessly persecuted by Lord Zedd. Have some courtesy you xenophobic British jerk.

#41 Edited by Fenrisulfr (141 posts) -

This is a simple literacy test. There's no D in the letter Z. Therefore, it's pronounced "zee."

*scoff* Some English that the English speak. They have the stones to name it after themselves then refuse to speak it properly.

#42 Posted by SarjuTheRapper (279 posts) -

i kinda say it both ways. cause who really gives a fuck

#43 Posted by benspyda (2030 posts) -

I'm not sure. I think I just switch between the two at random.

#44 Posted by BrickRoad (702 posts) -

Zed, here. Like Zeb-ra instead of Zee-bra. However I do say Zee when it's clearly a Zee, like in the following:

'I don't like Dragon Ball Z'

Who the fuck says Zed?

People that speak English, as opposed to that horrible mish-mash of randomly removed letters and z-replacing-s-for-no-reason abomination that Americans speak!
#48 Edited by GunnBjorn (2911 posts) -

From English class I can remember it's Zee. But we Dutch people say Zet.

#49 Posted by andrew2696 (296 posts) -

As a Canadian I'm ashamed to say I say zee. And I think zed is an everywhere thing but American's and Seasame Street say otherwise.
