How is the letter "Z" pronounced?
I remember when Rush pronounced the name of their song YYZ "YY Zed" and then I remembered they were Canadian, it was pretty neat. Why's it pronounced Zed? Anyone know?

Because that's the correct way.

I ain't British. Zee.
I'm not an idiot. Zed.
A different accent does not an idiot make.
Zee.
Accent =/= saying things incorrectly. You all laugh when Will Smith says stuff wrong, but Americans do it on a daily basis. Al-oo-minum? Bah I say.
whoa people from different regions pronounce things differently than me?
some of them don't even speak the same language! haha what dolts.
I pronounce it Zee but Zed is definitely closer to Zeta. Don't know why this is a topic worth calling people idiots over but okay.@AlexW00d said:

@AlexW00d: Actually we changed it out of respect for the Power Rangers who have been relentlessly persecuted by Lord Zedd. Have some courtesy you xenophobic British jerk.
This is a simple literacy test. There's no D in the letter Z. Therefore, it's pronounced "zee."
*scoff* Some English that the English speak. They have the stones to name it after themselves then refuse to speak it properly.
People that speak English, as opposed to that horrible mish-mash of randomly removed letters and z-replacing-s-for-no-reason abomination that Americans speak!Who the fuck says Zed?
As a Canadian I'm ashamed to say I say zee. And I think zed is an everywhere thing but American's and Seasame Street say otherwise.
