How many hours a week do you study for school?
Many of my Professors say that the recommended study habit is to study for, on average, 2 hours for every 1 hour of class, or a 2:1 ratio. So if you have a 1 hour class then you should study for an additional 2 hours making that 1 hour turn into 3.
So I was just wondering how long you study, and perhaps the ratio of your study habits compared to your classes.
EDIT: and yes, I'm aware that I mixed up the "less than" and "greater than" symbols. That's what I get for multi-tasking.
I'm up to about 3-4 hours a day which will be jumping a bit more now that I've added Ancient Greek to my curriculum but I'm fine with it. My classes are pretty chill, they're all just time consuming.

So far I am sticking with my bad study habits from high school, but I gotta actually study for college
I simply cannot bring myself to study. It's so amazingly boring that I would end up smashing my head against the wall after about 5 minutes. Besides, I usually get excellent grades on all my tests, mostly because I pay attention during class unlike 90% of my school
Oh god, math alone takes up 3-4 hours a day, but I admittedly only study for about 4-5 days a week (don't have classes everyday).
16-19 hours for me (I'm in college though, back in High School you barely needed to study to get good grades).
Less than 3. Any more and you're gonna burn yourself out. Any teacher that makes you study more than 3 that isn't a Grad class or higher is so lame.

Not enough. I am disinterested in my program at the moment. I think I need a change and I just begun, argh.
" So most of you study more than 3 hours a week. That's good. I definitely study less than 20 hours a week so I voted for that. "@TheMustacheHero said:
" So we all study more than 3 hours? Wait a second... "dammit... such an ironic mistake considering the context.
" @Jolly_Lolly: yeah, you could get away without doing almost anything and still get A's and B's in High School. Different story in college, though. I didn't even realize that I was studying a lot in college, since it just feels like it's something that's necessary to do to succeed in your classes. "I know right? This thread made me realize how much time I am putting away for my classes. Like last week I studied for 8 hours straight on Tuesday for a test that was on Wednesday. I don't think I have ever studied for that long for anything in High School.

I'm a really good student, but I don't study until tests are approaching. Before tests, I cram a lot, and I always do my homework and everything, but I don't study every night just for the heck of it. I study when it matters most.
I study around 30-40 minutes right before a test starts and thats it. I have a really great short term memory so I can remember everything I read for a few hours. So I just read over everything thats on the test, go in and score 95%+, Its worked out pretty well so far. I skipped 1/4 of highschool and still got into university easily :) Its nice that now I don't have to worry about all those assignments.. its just essays and exams. Perfect :)
