How many pairs of trainers do you own?

Only one. I always buy them from Wal-Mart too. I don't understand how people can spend more than $30 on a pair shoes...
You walk on your feet all day man! Don't cheap out on them bitches! Of course if someone's spending more than 30 dollars on a pair of shoes that aren't comfortable, then I agree with you.
@Hizang: You had me so confused, but for some reason I knew you were referring to Sneakers...how odd.
3.
If you were fat like me and tried to run you'd realize $30 shoes don't cut it. However I do buy Walmart cheapies for work shoes, since I'm sitting on my butt all day anyway.
So I have 3 pairs of 'trainers'. When I buy a new pair the old get demoted down one level. One for running, one for everyday, and one for yardwork.

I've never had any problems with them. They don't last that long but long enough for the price. Not very picky when it comes to shoes.

Sorry US duders, I forgot trainers are called sneakers in the US.
Well in that case I own 1 pair of sneakers that I've had since sophomore year of high school. I guess I can understand having 2 or 3 pairs for different activities, but I don't know why anyone would ever need 10+ pairs at a time. Although need probably would have nothing to do with having that many pairs of sneakers.
I have one piece of advice relating to this: Don't go rock climbing in 10 year old sneakers. I have almost died far too many times. (just one time is far too many, and I've exceeded that)
I should buy a new pair of sneakers, and some proper rock climbing kicks.

I paid 60 bucks for my sneakers, they've lasted 11 years now. Although they are pretty worn now, but that's mostly just their looks. The only functional problem is the sole is so smooth it makes slippery surfaces extra slippery. They are still very comfortable. Seems to me you're wasting money, not saving it.
For a minute I thought he was talking about Pokemon trainers...or training bras.
3 sneakers. 1 pair is probably 15 years old. I don't wear them too much but I can't bring myself to throw them out.

My shoes would last forever too if I never used them.
I do about 30-40 Km of walking my dog a week and the shoes last 2-3 years before they are pretty much done, I only keep one set at a time and I don't wear them unless I'm walking the dog.

Other than some work boots I had wear to work, they're the only shoes I ever wear. At least they were. I've switched this past year to a sandals in the summer, work boots in the winter mentality. They don't do well on ice, anymore. I've worn them jogging (5 miles a day 5 days a week for 4 years), though I don't do that anymore. I never did like it. I've worn them through my aforementioned rock climbing troubles. I've worn them for all my dog walking and just walking while listening to podcasts.
Eh. To each his own, I guess.
The only reason I keep bringing this up is I have a friend with the same mentality regarding shoes. He buys a new pair every other year or so, and I've had the same pair for 11 years. He's spent way more on sneakers than I probably ever will, all in the name of "saving" money. It really bugs me for some reason. I can't explain it.
Sorry.
I own 3 pairs of shoes. One pair of skateboard shoes for everyday wear, one pair of dress shoes, and one pair of insulated boots for the winter.
Hehe, I had to google ''trainers'' to find out what it was. I know that Hizang is from the UK so no worries.
I have 1 pair that I usually use in the autumn and spring.

I only have two, during my college years I would just buy lots of Plimsols, I really should get some more.
FOR US DUDERS - Sorry, I forgot there called Sneakers in the US.
I don't own any sneakers. I own two pairs of tennis shoes, so I voted with them.
I buy a pair and then wear the fuck out of them. Currently rocking the Adidas Campus 2.0's but they're looking pretty gnarly and I wanna get rid of them soon for some DC's.
I wear a lot of knee-high Chucks. I have no idea if those count since I'm still foggy on if "trainers" are specifically athletic shoes worn mostly during sports and/or exercise, or if that refers to any "sneaker" like shoe that has since become a fashion and/or comfort accessory. If it's the latter, I'm not helping to dispel the feminine stereotype of loving shoes, because I have many (10+).
