I have a huge problem that involves not closing tabs, so by 2-3 hours I'll usually have 25+ tabs open, and I was just wondering how many others also had this same problem.
How many tabs do you usually have open?
Yeah, I've got that same- well, it's not really a problem, but I do the same thing. I'm not going to be an asshole and claim I have "ADD," but yes, I'll read a little in one tab, something will catch my eye or pop into my head, so I'll open another tab and before I know it, there are dozens of tabs open spread across a few browser windows.
...I wouldn't have it any other way. Why is this a problem for you?
Just browsing around: 1-4 (for some reason I hate having to hit back, so I almost always ctrl+shift+click stuff like forum threads, then close when done)
Research mode: anywhere from 5-15+
Also, I'm quite anal about closing unnecessary tabs.

it makes firefox noticeably slower.
4-5, I get up to a dozen or so sometimes when I'm lazy or if I have to right click a bunch of links in unison.
SO MANY TABS. Sometimes though they will all end up closed, but soon after somehow a million more tabs. I usually end up opening links in new tabs because I'm not done with whatever was in the original tab, but then that one stays open as I run around the internet like one of those episodes of Scooby Doo where they're all running through doors in a hallway and no one knows how they ended up anywhere.
Depends on whether or not I've taken a dive into TVTropes again.
Usually, though, two or three, maybe a few more. My forum habits often involve me scrolling through, middle clicking all of the ones I'm interested in, posting in half of them, closing the rest, checking the main page of forums again, and then moving on.
At home, I don't usually have more than 10.
At work, with the use of tab groups in Firefox, I've had over 60.
I have 3 or 4 tabs open usually. I almost always have Giantbomb and Facebook open so that's a guaranteed 2.
When I'm working, I sometimes have like four different browser windows with 10 tabs each on average.
I used to be a lot better about spreading them out over workspaces and stuff but I still go a little overboard having billions of tabs open, especially if I'm testing stuff or doing web development. Even when I'm not I can easily hit 20 before I realize I should probably start closing tabs.
2-6, though it can go well beyond that in to the 20's on some occasions (valid reasons for doing so too). I usually have about 6 desktop applications running too, though I spend most of my time dealing with news and apps in the browser. Some web applications are much more reliable than their desktop equivalents, for example Google Calendar > OSX Calendar, or gmail > mail.
OP, you have a problem lol what if it adapts to becoming a hoarder in your old age?! hahah
Learn to let go man! I usually keep 6-9 though.
