Shelby Bonnie made two deals when selling WM. How much do you think Giant Bomb and Comic Vine sold for, and how much do you think Tested, Screened and Anime Vice sold for?

My guess is that Giant Bomb and Comic Vine sold for 3 million together and Tested, Screened and Anime vice sold for 1 million together.

Ten bucks and a six pack for each team member.

Did you hear that? They sold out for the price of a cheap movie ticket and some beer!

I'm joking, I have no fucking clue and don't see how anyone, except those involved, could.

It's kind of impossible to guess without knowing how much the websites are worth.

Sorry, were we doing joke answers?

A chest full of chocolate money. Shelbie Bonny was pissed when he found out.

How much did they have to pay to get rid of Anime Vice?

#23 Posted by JCHenderson (119 posts) -

I'm going to guess about the amount they raised with premium memberships.

#24 Edited by isomeri (1224 posts) -

Around four Bradbucks and seven pennies.

#25 Posted by wefwefasdf (6729 posts) -

I have no idea. I would be very interested to know though.

That reminds me, is Giant Bomb going to get a redesign or are they just going to remove the footer and the Whiskey Media emblem?

Except there were five websites. So, 200k a pop and that's million bucks.

Eventually, yes. I'm pretty sure that was mentioned somewhere. And unlike who ever did Tested, I imagine Dave will take his time and make it look good.

Anyway, Giant Bomb and Comic Vine probably sold for more then the other sites as they are the most popular sites at Whiskey Media. As for how much, I have no idea. I really have no clue as to how much online companies are worth. Shit, I don't know how much any company is worth.

Shit on Anime Vice all you want, it was still a product and part of the package. So, in actuality, BermanBraun would, and did, spend money on it. Realistically, not as much as they did for Tested, or probably even Screened, but they did.
