My sister dragged me to the shooting range to help test her new gun. I wore the ear plugs, but still my left ear is ringing. Should I just let it fix itself naturally?

It should, unless you have tinnituswhich can develop as you get older and/or you're exposed to loud sounds constantly.

I've googled around and I don't think it's tinnitus. This is the first time this has happened in a very long time.

If it is though, I guess it isn't the worst thing in the world. It's not incredibly noticeable.

I've had a ringing in my left ear since I was around 18 after multiple ear infections from bad surfing. I'm now 30. Welcome to my world.

It's gone now luckily. I took a nap with earmuffs on, woke up without any ringing whatsoever. I guess that's my recommendation to anyone who experiences ear ringing issues!

Is it too late to recommend jamming a screwdriver in there?

As hard as you can, otherwise it won't help.

Death is an option, but you probably don't want that.

I have it permanently now: tinnitus. However, it did happen to me on a temporary basis, for 2 days, after sitting near the stage at a ZZ Top concert.

I had ringing ears real bad for a few days after going to see Poison, Slaughter, Cinderella, and Dokken at Great Woods. Good times.

Im sure your ear ringing will go away.
