Human ID chips in the army?

Ok, maybe this is old news, but I wonder..There is a controversy about human Identification chips and the pros and cons on them. here is an article about them http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/feb2008/tc20080211_165324_page_2.htm it mentions that the ID chips are already very present in the army and I was really thinking about joining the marines in a few years and I don't know if the chip will be accepted or not but if so I'm sure as hell not joining. The faults are endless and this could really start quite an epidemic.

It's depressing when people's understanding of current issues comes from Metal Gear Solid. It's fine to get a message across in your games, but Kojima does it so ham handedly that I found it awkward to watch sometimes.

I'm actually thinking about joining the Marines as well in a few years. Pretty much I know if I go in there I know the government "owns" me, so if they did use ID chips, just have to deal with it. :/

I think the chips are stupid and are going to destroy any freedom (If we even still have any) left. I dont like it... at all...
