I find people with avatars that are faces of the GB cast creepy.

There are quite a few GB sheep on here that have a bit too much devotion.

Am I missing something? Its not creepy, its giantbomb!

It's just a photo of something a person finds interesting. At one point I had someone on the site posting with a real life photo of me as their avatar. I didn't really mind that they used my photo, but I was worried that since I was using it at the same time that they might say something and I would get in trouble for it if someone just looked at the photo.

Yeah, anime avatars, MLP avatars, staff avatars; they're all a little off putting, but it's not that big a deal. This pig has served me well and he'll continue to do so until the internet it's self implodes.

Oh come on really? I think you should stop being so damn judgemental it's just an image , and people using their own face as an avatar are preparing for the inevitable internet will lose the anonymity at some point so you'll not hide your creepy face for ever.

I was on a forum once where I changed my avatar to a picture of my face, and everyone else on the forum also changed their avatar to a picture of my face as a meme.

tbh I found it pretty flattering.

Why? Your avatar is a representation of you when you post, there's nothing more representative of you than your own face.

I personally find people with little anime girls as avatars to be creepy as hell.

I totally agree. Two other things that creep me the hell out:

• The "I saw Jeff/Ryan/Vinny/Brad..." threads.
• People with avatars that are random pics of hot girls they found on the internet.

I found it creepy when I noticed the dude who was watching the Oscars with Rorie for the live stream had the same avatar as me. Other than someone having the same avatar as me I don't care. Or if there's nudity. That would be creepy. Avatars should be clothed at all times.

It's just an Avatar. I have a pic of Darth Vader, because I like the character. Some people have pics of the staff because they really like them. I think you're reading into it too much.
