I THINK I LIKE THE WHITE SITE OVER THE BLACK ONE WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? (270 votes)

I prefer white 20%

I prefer black 80%

Guys, I think I like the white version of the site over the black version what is happening. :(

I've always enjoyed the white site more. Though it's an odd design choice to have all that jet black on the top of the front page that goes straight into white or dark grey without any sort of gradient. It honestly looks weird to me on both versions of the site, though especially on the white version. I always thought that'd be changed from the beta.

Black looks really sick, I really like the colours that they chose. I think Im keeping the black.

Tried white for about 5 minutes and couldn't take it. It just doesn't feel like Giant Bomb! Back to black for me.

@peasantabuse: Upper right corner of the window, you've got a button with A | A, one black, one white. Hit that to switch.

First thing I did when the new site came up was swap back to the black theme. Defaulting to white is the work of a crazy person; I enjoy my retinas, thank you very much.

It's because the Red text over Black looks pretty bad, they should go back to the yellow for links on black, and let us choose a colour for our user names. Not just the 5 from before but say like 20 different colours.

I think Maddox said it best, web designers think a white background is like looking at a piece of paper, when in reality it's more like staring at a fucking lightbulb.

I like the white better, but I did on the old site also. It's not so much my preference for the color so much as that it's easier for me to read black on white as opposed to white on black.

I liked the white design on the old layout, but not so much now. Strange how I'm the inverse of everyone else.

Plus, white hurts my eyes at night.

Dark backgrounds with light text hurt my eyes a lot.

So yeah, I prefer the white site by far.

Black is better because the forum sections displayed under each topic title is more visible.

So if you like white, you are wrong and therefore need to be "taken out back"

My eyes burn from the light given off by the white screen, but I look when layouts and stuff get revamped, so I don't mind it I guess.

You know what they say, one you go black...your eyes have a better time adjusting to the brightness of the screen and the damage you would otherwise have staring at a white screen for long periods of time gets reduced.

Black websites just look so damn nice though. This site looks cool.

I wish all websites were black to be honest.
