I just don't get it. I think I've liked about 100 profiles, and I only have two matches. Same thing happened when I was in school in another city. I'm not horrible looking... quite the opposite really, have varied interests and a good education. I'm not really interested in hookups, maybe that's the problem? I don't have any wild or crazy photos, and they are just black and white. And It's not just Tinder... I haven't had much luck with online dating either. What has your experience been? How are you supposed to online date?

Oh, and it could be important to know I'm a guy looking for girls...

I have a friend who found the woman who would eventually become his wife through OK Cupid. Maybe try that?

Not a bad idea, actually, maybe I should add a silhouette photo dancing with crazy coloured lights, haha

@soulfulsoul: Try okay Cupid, tinder lends it self to being super forgettable, its super low stakes.

It's about choosing the right photo's. Apparently a lot of men are having trouble finding pictures that are appealing to women. You should have a female friend help you out with choosing which pictures to put up. No doubt you have a bunch that are great, but you might not get which ones they are. If you add a description, be very sure it's not off putting.

EDIT: I see you said you have all black and white photo's? Don't do that. If I see a profile with nothing but black and white or other edited pictures I swipe left pretty much no matter what. You want to know what your match looks like. Black and white photo's take out so much detail you want to see, it is inherently unappealing. You can add one or two of them, but only if you have enough 'real' pictures where your face is clearly visible.

I feel this is a weird place to make this thread but sure, I'll bite. First off, as someone else has said, black and white pictures sound like a bad idea. Make sure you lead with your best picture because the majority of people aren't gonna scroll through the whole set. I've never used something like OK Cupid but it's important that you don't take Tinder too seriously. Not to say you won't occasionally meet someone nice but the vast majority of the interactions you're likely to have on Tinder are probably gonna end being pretty inconsequential.
