There was a time when I believed that no person was actually stupid, just misguided. Now days I have been finding more and more cases to destroy my former faith in humanity. Here is the latest story to support my ever failing beliefs in the intelligence of people.
I used to think no one was really stupid. I was wrong.

Thanks. I can't believe I messed up the link.
Y'know, that is really terrible, but I guess I'll take stupid over evil. If it really is the case that she wanted to send her son a puppy for his birthday and that she is just really, really, really dumb (likely mentally handicapped), that slightly edges out deliberate animal cruelty in my book (not in the end results necessarily, but in the universal how sick this makes me scale). But yeah, wth.
"Welcome to the realm of the pleasently cynical. "
It feels a little like I read in those books. Slightly up-lifting.
When I was in NY before the ferry to liberty island a woman actually sent a dog through the x-ray scanner in the security. That was funny, the guards were like NO NO NO no no ... aaaawwhhh ... And everyone in the area laughed as the woman started crying! And it was the best day ever!
Whoo Minnesota represent! This was all over the news over the past few days and they even interviewed the dude working at the post office when they discovered a barking moving box sitting on one of the shelves.
The guy was absolutely dumbfounded when he opened the box to see a fucking live dog inside. Jokingly he said he was relieved that she at least put a two day rush on the package. Of course she could have spent a little extra to do the overnight.
" Well, she had good intentions at least. "That would have killed a living being. Intentions don't really factor into this.
That sounds horrible... yet comical at the same time. Someone should put that as a bit on a TV show or movie. I could see it on Seinfeld.
My point is," @Kjellm87 said:

she was incredibly stupid , but she is not evil.
But I won't defend her, imagen if that package had arrived to the kid, wow, she should be glad it didn't.
Who the hell's arguing that she's evil? I think people are saying that she's dangerously stupid.
There just isn't enough news in the world. Very recently, there was a guy who got stabbed by a fighting cock (it had a knife taped to it and it stabbed him in the leg). Also there was a guy who got shot by a fox. Don't know the details though.

Someone needs to make a venn diagram of this. Stupid - Stupid/Evil - Evil. Put pictures and stuff too.

I want to know more about this Rambo/fox hybrid. Maybe it was mysterious fox, come to collect on a prayer.
Eh, everyone does something extremely stupid at some point in their life. The most susceptible are those who think they are immune from doing stupid things.
If you don't think that anyone is really stupid you don't spend enough time around people, just try listening to some conversations on the bus. I just assume that anyone I meet is stupid off the bat just to be safe.
Hello? She should've used PetsOvernight.com.
fuck all the people living like animals and needing care and shit
Guess is fine and thats all that fucking matters !!!
Sometimes we do crazy things for people we love.
The steps:
- I can see my son
- It is very important I get my son a gift for his birthday
- My son wants a puppy...I will get him a puppy
- I need to get this puppy to my son I cannot see
- I MUST GET HIM THIS PUPPY! I LOVE MY SON!!!
- I can mail it. I order things in the mail they arrive quickly and undamaged
- I must get my son this puppy.
- I will mail this puppy so my son will love me...so he will have a present
That's how that happens. It seems so dumb when seen from the outside, but were not desperate parents estranged from our kids.
-We should not drunk-dial my ex-wife…but we do.
-We should not buy that cute woman at work roses, but then get mad when she feels weirder out because we have never talked before and she has a boyfreind.
-We should not cut that tree down in our backyard with a tiny underpowered dull chain saw and HOPE it falls the other way.
People do dumb stuff….it happens all the time.
" Sometimes we do crazy things for people we love.I'm sorry, but I honestly believe your justification of this and then the comparison you made at the end is actually more stupid than what she did.

Comparing putting a dog in a box and attempting to mail it to drunk dialing an ex lover.
Wow.

I think you may have missed the part where she put air holes and then covered them up, and when she said she put water bottles in the box for the puppy. Like the puppy was going to be able to open a bottle.
I'm no English Professor, but I can't get my head around her quote.
"I was deprived of my son not receiving his gift for his birthday," she said at the hearing,
Whuh?
"I felt really, really bad as a mom."
And I hope you feel really bad as a human too.
Sheesh. What was she thinking? I mean, really. It boggles the mind.
The best part of this story is her actual belief that her son would get a delivery from the mail man and a dog would just hop out the box. Like it did not have travel from Minneapolis to Atlanta in a taped up box with no air holes, food, or means of telling that there is a dog in it.
I may not be a wizard, but even I know that's fucked up.
