I want to quit my new job...

I work at my local movie theater and it sucks! I thought it was gonna be cool and everything making $7 an hour but boy was I wrong! My first day was yesterday and I had to work for 6 hours! I really hate it. Is it normal to want to quit a job that you have only worked at for one day? How would you go about quitting a job?

6 hours? Boo Hoo is all I got to say. I've worked 8 hour overnight shifts in a store by myself countless times. 6 hours isn't even a days work. Quit your job and get use to living with your mom, you're obviously not cut out to be a productive part of society.

I worked at a movie theatre two years ago. With much longer shifts. For less than half your wage. Just be glad that you have a job, one that isn't totally out of your range of interests, and think of the money you will have extra.

Now that it just sad....grow up little boy...6 hours isnt shit. Ive worked 3 weeks straight monday-sunday 10-11 hours a day and your quitting after 6 hours.

You have to be kidding me man, 6 hour shift? thats nothing really, I hated my job before but just think about it in the long run, you'll make some money and this will probably be a good life lesson, if you can't handle working at a theater for 6 hours, your not going to have much fun trying to get a real job in the future.

I worked at IBM for 2 months and I hated, but I wanted some money to buy things I needed for that year at college. Just make a good excuse and try not to quit in an awful way, it is easy for you because you surely did not received any training, in my case I was a bit embarrased because I was supposed to cover a guy that was going to retire, I decided to quit and they had to train another guy in a hurry, but my studies were more important, that was a wonderful year at college and the stuff I bought with the money helped me a lot to achieve it. Just stay a few months, make some money, buy the stuff you need and go on with your life.
