Ok so what I want to do is go over to my friends house while hes at work. He has a 9 digit keypad to get in the back door and I know the code because I just moved out and he has not changed the code. I want to go from room to room and just sorta fuck with shit. In the kitchen I want to open all the cupboards and the oven, in his office I want to bring up a bunch of gay porn on his computer that he leaves on all the time, in his dining room I want to stack all the chairs on the table. Also he has DVR on his TV so I want to DVR as much B.E.T as I can. I asked his roommate what he thought of the idea and he thought we should film it both me setting it up and then his reaction when he gets home. Also he and his roommate work the same hours at the same place so he said he would go along with it. Im trying to think of other things I could do. Im just trying to think how pissed he would get but we have been good friends for 15 years now so I think it would be funny.
I don't think this is as clever as you think it is. Any decently intelligent person would be able to put together what had happened. And nothing here sounds that bad. It wouldn't take very long to undo all of these things. No mystery + no damage = bad prank.
Just make sure you immediately jump out and make him know it was you otherwise he's going to freak out and call the cops and its bound to go worse from there.
Don't do anything that would piss him off, like fucking with his computer or anything. Maybe put the furniture in really weird positions (pretend his house is haunted) or something harmless like that.
I wouldn't do something that is so extreme that your friend knows someone is fucking with him, I'd rather mess with his subconscious slowly over a few weeks. Take individual socks, take all the caps off of pens/pencils, change computer/tv display settings, switching a key or 2 on their keyboard, ect.
I don't prank people, and do not have the compulsion to prank my friends. If I ever was going to do something it would never be something that is an actual inconvenience to the person I was pranking.
I have plenty of twisted prank ideas, but I wouldn't follow through with them because of the legal ramifications.
Bah. That's vandalism dude! What you should do is going to his toilet opening the top. Now,see that little tube that leads to the toilet? That's for flushing it. Now,take some ductape and make it so that the tube aims at his FACE MUAHAHAHA!

You should do something way more subtle. Small changes will make it harder to attribute it to someone else.
Of COURSE a roommate is pranking you if you find gay porn on your PC (unless he's already gay). But if you shorten the length of his belt, shrink his shirt, or add small shims into his shoes very very gradually, maybe you can get him to think he's growing into a giant/fatty/both.
Lift the toilet seat up and place see through shrink wrap / clingfilm whatever you call it across the open surface of the toilet, now lower the seat and pay the waiting game
