During the SNES all-day-a-thon, Dave was discussing user name changes when people subscribe this year, and I was wondering how many people were going to use this feature. I have thought about changing my name before, but I go back and forth on the idea. Thoughts? Concerns? Excitement?

Nope, I use this name virtually everywhere. Excepting in person of course.

Not a chance.

Dunno, might take the "0" off.

#6 Posted by Synthballs (2222 posts) -

On one of the sites I put in the name "Synthballa"

I'd like that changed,

I'm not a baller :(

Yeah, I might.

#8 Posted by HeadNodShy (78 posts) -

My quest to have a completely unique username goes on so I probably will be changing it. I think I have a good one lined up.

#9 Posted by Thor_Molecules (733 posts) -

Yes. I hate this name. I have used it too long, and signed up here without thinking.

#10 Posted by TheMustacheHero (6649 posts) -

Uh, no!

#11 Posted by GetEveryone (4531 posts) -

No, mine is fairly unique and I'm quite attached to it.
I was devastated when I found out someone already had it on XBL.
Actually, now that I think about it, it may actually be attached to my old Xbox...

No sir.

#13 Posted by NekuCTR (1710 posts) -

Hell yea, If I had know that I would be coming to this site every day, I definitely would have picked something more creative.

#14 Posted by UnsolvedParadox (1865 posts) -

Not at all, I'm good.

#15 Posted by Obsidian (347 posts) -

This is the ID I always try to go for when registering. There's no name I'd rather have.

#16 Posted by Devoid (438 posts) -

More like I wish I could change my username everywhere else to this one. But it's taken everywhere.

Ah, well that's what I get for using a real word, I guess.

#18 Posted by sirdesmond (1309 posts) -

Nope! I use this name for nearly everything, have for years, and it is based on my actual name so I probably won't stop using it anytime soon.

#19 Posted by ds8k (427 posts) -

I managed to get my typical username so no, I'll stick with it.

#20 Posted by TheUnsavedHero (1263 posts) -

Yes. Just to add The to it like my 360 tag. Don't know what I was thinking when I didn't type that in.

#21 Posted by Vextroid (1459 posts) -

Nope. This is my online alias. I'm sticking with it.

#22 Posted by Buscemi (1125 posts) -

Well, yes, and no. When I registered here, right at the beginning, this was the name I went by, but now... well, now I go by Steve Buscemi.

#23 Posted by deadly_polo (500 posts) -

Yes, yes, yes. Although I don't have much better my name on the other sites is preferable

#24 Posted by SlightConfuse (3995 posts) -

Nope i like mine

#25 Posted by Vexxan (4624 posts) -

#26 Posted by mracoon (5084 posts) -

No. The only thing I might change is my Tested username which has an underscore at the end of it.

#27 Posted by MetalBaofu (1470 posts) -

Maybe. I might would change mine to make it match my XBL tag....which I don't know why I didn't do in the first place.

Probably, for whatever reason I didn't get a capital E.

#30 Posted by ShockD (2486 posts) -
Expecting to see "The_best_japanese_teaBAG" posting here.
#31 Posted by CountMacula (246 posts) -

Probably, I dislike having numbers in my name. I just chose this name because I wanted to sign up on the Big Live Live Show last year.

#32 Posted by Sjosz (489 posts) -

I would not. This online handle has been mine for over 10 years.

#33 Posted by Rawrnosaurous (812 posts) -

Nope, this is my user name on any site. Plus, why would anyone want to get away from Rawrnosaurous?

#34 Posted by Dick_Mohawk (394 posts) -

Yes, I will be. This is an old handle from another time in my life. I signed up to GB early on when I was using it elsewhere, but I don't frequent those places anymore so I want to bring it inline with what I use now.

#35 Posted by Brendan (8753 posts) -

I got my real name for once. I am hanging on to this for dear life.

#36 Posted by Sitoxity (559 posts) -

I settled into this username quite a while ago, though there's still remnants around of my old one. (I refuse to get rid of my old YouTube Account...I'm not sure why.)

So no, I won't. I like it. Plus I still have an old avatar I made for it, and I can never be bothered making a new one.

#37 Posted by wefwefasdf (6730 posts) -

Definitely not!

#38 Posted by BoG (5388 posts) -

I am BoG.
#39 Posted by SaturdayNightSpecials (2527 posts) -

Yes, I have some others I'm considering. This one is all right, but very forgettable. You can't become an internet celebrity with a name like this.

#40 Edited by SmasheControllers (2950 posts) -

I have to change my dumb Screened name, but as for GB, no. SmashedControllers is usually my name unless I can't fit it then it's ObliteratedTaco.

#41 Posted by GJSmitty (685 posts) -

My username is terrible, it's the one I used a looong time ago, but now I use something else for everything.  So yes, I would change it.

#42 Posted by ajamafalous (12439 posts) -

Yeah, but the one I want is already taken, and the account has done literally nothing on the site. Makes me mad.

#43 Posted by imsh_pl (3498 posts) -

Nope, I use it literally everywhere.

#44 Posted by MariachiMacabre (7097 posts) -

Nope, this is my go-to username.

#45 Posted by BeachThunder (13138 posts) -

>_> maybe. I'm kind of sick of this name now :(

#46 Posted by Moth_Pope (475 posts) -

I think I'd change mine. There's another name I'd like to start using for this sort of stuff (although my username is my current Gamertag and PSN ID...).

#47 Posted by NickBOTT (493 posts) -

No chance in hell!

#48 Posted by iAmJohn (6149 posts) -

#49 Posted by Turambar (7156 posts) -

Nope. Its rare that I can get this username without having to tack on numbers of some such. In fact, the fact that it was still open when I joined a good year after the site's launch was mind blowing.

#50 Posted by ShadowVirus (835 posts) -

I've been using this username on every site I've joined since like 2005, so I kind of like having one alias.
But I also hate the name ShadowVirus, too geeky, but I'm not smart enough to come up with anything better.
Also I don't like changing usernames on a site once I've been on that site for a few years.
