If You Could Live in Another Country Would You?

Like the title says. Just a question about if you could do it, with no consequences. just move to any country you wanted. would you. Or is where you are currently living satisfactory. For me I love my home, but i think it would be tight to go to Italy or Spain for a while.

Heck yes. If I could afford it, I would love to live in Japan.

Since I maintain citizenship of both the US and Canada the only other country I would like to live in is Germany...

I work at home and everything is done through the Internet so I do have the ability to move anywhere and have looked into several places.

My first choice was The Philippines but it's a crazy country (but my American dollar stretches soooo far there). I've also checking into New Zealand, Amsterdam, England and Japan but they're all way too expensive if you get paid in American money (well, Japan's not too bad, comparable in price to living in the nicer parts of Los Angeles, CA). Plus, it's really hard to get citizenship in a lot of first-world countries. You need a rather full bank account and oftentimes a "sponsor" -- someone to vouch that you're an okay person. Some countries even want you to take a physical to make sure you're in perfect health.

For now, America seems to be the only place that wants my poor, unhealthy self. :(

Glad to see there is NO general consensus. It's cool that different people want to live in different places. My main fear of moving somewhere else would be the food. it would have to be somewhere, where the food isn't cockroaches. Like italy, pizza every night lol.

I live in Norway, but I wouldn't mind trying out something different, like Japan. Or going safe and trying Canada.

Hell yeah. If you have an opportunity to do something like that, I say go for it.

I like living in the US and I really don't think I want to live anywhere else.  I'd like to visit a lot of places, but I really have no desire to pick up all my shit and move to a completely new country.
