Sriracha is very good agreed, but if it had to be only one(the horror!!), it'd be old reliable: Tabasco Pepper Sauce.

This. I don't really use condiments on food too much--not even ketchup--but if I'm eating a burger, I need my damn ketchup!

@pyromagnestir I think a condiment for me is any addition to a dish for flavor enhancement that isn't part of the base recipe.

It's tough because I am a condiment junkie. I put tons of packets of stuff on almost everything I eat.

Does Pico de Gallo count as a condiment? If yes, then that. If not, then maybe Chipotle Tabasco.

>packets

C'mon, dude, invest in some bottles. I never bother with packets - too messy and inconvenient.

As for me, I've been on a plain ol' ketchup roll. I remember the Bombcast discussed steak condiments and basically agreed that ketchup on steak was a sin, but I find ketchup to have a consistent tasty flavor. Sure, A1 and all that fancy shit is preferable, but ketchup is like the duct tape of condiments - good for absolutely anything. Ketchup & scrambled eggs is but one example: simple to make, tasty as shit.

It's a toss up between a nice spicy chilli sauce, or garlic mayonnaise. I think I'd have to go for the garlic mayo.

Hmm, my first thought was mustard, Dijon mustard specifically, but upon further consideration, I'd have to say Louisiana Hot Sauce. I put it on practically everything. Spicy, tangy, hot but not too hot.

So buffalo sauce on buffalo chicken, not condiment, blue cheese dip for buffalo chicken, condiment? Is that right?

I just need to be sure I can eat buffalo chicken in this theoretical scenario and not break the rules.

Frank's Red Hot is quite the popular choice. I guess that's mine as well, but ranch dressing almost made the cut.

this is truly a hard choice, it really depends on what you're eating. However if it was just one for everything I would pick some sort of BBQ hot sauce mix.

By the way salt has to be the right answer if you were to say you couldn't use salt otherwise.
