Also, wouldn't it just be better to upgrade to an 80gb zune for around 20 bucks instead of going for the 16gb Nano?

I own a 4G Nano.

Love it. Works great. Holds enough. Don't buy it. Get an 8G.

Get an iPod for low capacity, if you ever want high then get a zune 120.

If you want more capacity, get a Zune, if you like iPods, well then, get an iPod. I don't want to give a big comparison (because I don't own the iPod Nano 4G), and because I'm anti-iPod and pro-Zune. All I will say is the Zune Software isn't terrible, and is good. (@thanatos990, unless you have a Zune, don't make such comments.)

For better sound quality, a nicer OS, and more features, it's definitely better than a nano.

Note that I'm not comparing the heavyweights, but a Nano stands no chance unless it's a compactness or portability question, because the nano is a midget.
