I'm looking into purchasing a new mp3 player. I was thinking I might as well get the ipod nano, because I will be using it for music mainly. I have one question though: Are you able to delete songs from the actual ipod? Or does it have to be through a computer?
Thanks, and all suggestions are welcome!
Also, Can anyone tell me how movies and the like work on an ipod touch/nano? Does it come with a converter for files or somethin?
EDIT: Does the giantbomb iphone app work for the ipod touch?
" @Conker said:You just need to pick "manually manage songs and video" when you have your Ipod hooked up. Problem solved." @Afroman269: Well thats a real bummer. Another question: What happens if I have music not on itunes? Can I sync it with itunes? "Ipods sync with what Itunes has, it will delete whats on the Ipod and replace it with the Itunes playlist. its the future or technology according to Apple, where single-minded convenience replaces common sense and simplicity "
You have to everything with the ipod through the computer. You can import stuff thats not in itunes to itunes and then put it on your ipod..just go file > import.
Maybe someone can answer this: If you own a ipod and switch to a zune, can you import your itunes library?
I can't stand Apple but I buckled and got a 4GB nano a couple years ago and love it. I think their crap is overpriced compared to other players with bigger drives but I don't regret getting it. I'd say it all depends on what kind of extras you're looking for, if you just want a straight player with the least amount of bullshit and whistles then go with the nano. If you want touch screen features and the option to get apps that range from kinda handy to useless go for the touch.
" @natetodamax: Sharepod? Also, do apps that are on the iphone work on the ipod touch? "The iPod touch really is an iPhone without the phone stuff and GPS etc. so apps work with them except for the obvious ones that require phone type stuff. I'm on my second touch (4th gen) and love it, take it everywhere with me, good for quick fixes of games and good t check out FB and Twitter.
Also, the GB app isn't supported by Whiskey anymore, because the site does everything the app does on Safari.
