Is it ok to call your girlfriend or boyfriend baby?
" Absolutely not. You shouldn't even be talking to my girlfriend! "Haha, brilliant! On topic, I don't think baby is too bad, my dad used to call his girlfriends "sexpot," so it could be worse. Also girls are bad and I prefer Fallout :-)
Yes?
Also, @VilhelmNielsen said:

" It's okay I guess. Seems like a lame excuse to not remember their names. "What?
" Absolutely not. You shouldn't even be talking to my girlfriend! "Well played.
Sure. What else are you gonna call her? Maybe her name, but that doesn't sound special. And if you say pumpkin, I'll kick your face in.
" @ZeForgotten said:Nope, said I proposed." Hah, as if my girlfriend would ever talk to the likes of you "You told us you were married. "
The wedding kiiinda have to take place first before people are married. At least in the real world I don't know how it works in lala-land for dead people :P
"Yes?

If your significant other doesn't mind, sure. It's a term of endearment when it needs to be, though it can be used as a sort of belittling term as well.
as Panic_Switch and I discussed before it's not ok to call someone "babe." Baby sounds just as worse. and besides Justin BIeber wrote a song where the chorus was only that annoying, damn word
I don't think so. I feel disgusted every time I overhear someone calling their sweetheart "shorty", "mama" or even the infamous "honeybunch" either, so they're out of the fucking question on my opinion.
Now I'm wondering if calling her "baby" is worse than calling her the name of one of your other girly friends.
Heck, is "babe" worse than calling her Bob or Harold or Jimmy?
Sure, why not... only if you can actually make it sound good though. I think I could only ever pull it off as a kind-of joke...
Babe and baby are okay. As long as you don't overuse it.
Although I prefer to say Snuggle-Bottom and Lovey Dovey.
