Seriously, has anyone written a paper; like ever which has had a restriction on how many words you are to use?  I am writing up a lab report but it must be presented on one of those huge posters that you see in college hallways and I need to keep methods under 100 words!  How is this possible to explain your set up, duration, recording methods and apparatus used?  I am at 123 words and there is no possible way to cut out any information without literally removing one of those parts!

Yes there is. It's a good exercise, in my opinion. It teaches you how to be concise and focused, which is very important in certain situations.

Man i hated having to keep my essays and such like within a set number of words but like Bellum said its a great method of teaching people how to be concise, focused and streamlined when they explain something. The tip is to essentially keep the key words you need to fully explain something and remove the crap that is essentially filler and not really that important.
