J-pop

How do you personally feel about j-pop. It fills me with joy.

Since I can't understand Japanese, I'd say I don't like it. However in my point of view its generally held in higher regard than C-Pop.

I can tolerate most, and actually get a kick out of some. But I wouldn't listen to j-pop outside of a videogame or a random youtube funny thing.

Some is cool . Most of it is annoying though

Japanese music is fun to listen to.

I really don't listen to J Pop at all, but I don't mind it.

Most is annoying.

Good in small quantities, like botulism. 

I have no definite opinion on it, really. Some of it is catchy, but it doesn't feature heavily in my library.

 I used to listen to J-Pop, but I don't anymore. Metal and Dubstep is what I listen to now.

Nope.  I tolerated it in P4 because it was part of the atmosphere but thats as far as i'll go.

  One of my favorites right now.  Ignore the actual video (just a bunch of drawings), but the song is great and it's the sort of beat and rhythm you just don't hear from western music

j-pop > American pop
 
But I really do enjoy j-pop. Most anime I like tends to have some sort of j-pop in it. However, I do enjoy music in all languages.

I really like J-Pop, though I've never actively seek it out. If it happens to be in a game I was playing (Persona 4), or an anime I was watching, and I really like it, then I try to get the soundtrack.

"J-pop" isn't really my thing but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy some Japanese music.

The fact that I don't understand it is a plus.

J-Pop is okay, but I much prefer K-Pop. It's a lot catchier to me. 
 
 

The most Jpop I've been exposed to is the Persona 3 and 4 soundtracks. 
I love those goddamn soundtracks.

ugh screw japanese. im sorry but everything that came out of that place weirds me out.

Depends on the song / band. For me, asking that is the same as asking, "What do you think about western pop music?" It's not exactly a question I can answer with a general "I like it" or "I dislike it", it really comes down to specifics. Though that song that Ben_H linked is crap. Auto-tune is just plain bad.

No J-pop artist is better than Utada to me but i've been listening to Halcali alot lately. They have amazing videos.

Its great, i usually listen to songs from anime.

I like it but I've always liked bubbly pop music in addition to all the other stuff I listen to.   It's a welcome release from the complexity of traditional jazz, the bleakness of alternative and the lyrical depth of artists like Dylan, Springsteen, Lennon and Young.  No thought required, just get your groove on and feel happy.  The fact that I can't understand 95% of the lyrics in J-Pop doesn't take anything away from what makes it enjoyable to me.  I like opera but I don't understand the languages sung in the best of those works, either.
