Now, a moment of silence for this revolutionary show.

Who cares?

That's harsh... Maybe some people care. I don't though.

Thank you America!

That Satellite Dish stream was incredible.

The sad thing is that the reason why Jersey Shore was cancelled was because all of the cast has their own spin-offs. Someone mentioned that if you cut down one MTV show, a thousand more grows in its place.

01:11 minute mark.

That's just sad.

well it said that there was still going to be this season, which is bad. i was expecting not to see another one.

sad news there is another season of snooki and jwow. there girls just complain about stuff and their boyfriends.

one show they need to get rid of is 16 and pregnant and teen mom. those shows are annoying to hear about. i think it just makes people want kids more, which leads to teen pregnancies. i've heard that there is the same amount of teen pregnancies there were now than the 50's.

I watched the show furiously through season 3, tried to convince Matt Rorie to give it a chance and now I don't know what happened to me then.

Why did I watch that show? Guess we'll never know.

What are you talking about? This whole thing is tragic. It's not a lifestyle you would want to show to the world. Normal people would want to hide it (okay, these are not normal people, but still). Fuck! This must be a new low.

#20 Posted by CaLe (3897 posts) -

It's just one of the many shows that needs to disappear. If they don't then China is gonna take over the world a lot faster than they would otherwise. These shows are the downfall of America and that's a fact.

Someone did the math. The father was 23, and the mother was 15 when they had their first child.

Also I glad to hear at least we got one show about trash off the air. I can honestly say Ive never watched a Jersey Shore episode before, but I guess thats not hard as I never really watched MTV.

Oh Hell. What happened to you America? What happened to you? You went from sending humans to the moon.... to whatever... this.... is. Losing Neil Armstrong was sad, but at least he didn't live to see.... this. In some ways the living might envy the dead!

Not surprised...Their "money-maker" got knocked up...Can't have a mom acting like a damn fool on TV....I'm sure MTV will find another group of good-for-nothings to exploit and annoy everyone with.

#26 Posted by Indiana_Jenkins (379 posts) -

I'm actually kind of sad. I feel like that show brought everyone closer together in their unabated hatred of it. It was familiar. Plus you have to account for escalation. You guys know something worse has to be on the way now, right?

#27 Edited by betterboulder (190 posts) -

It already has far far worse replacing it on other networks. Toddlers and Tiaras, American Gypsies, Teen Mom, etc. The age of the reality TV non-celebrity is still going on.

If I know TV, they will want exactly that. Whether, it's still MTV or VH1 or E!, someone will want a Snookie show if she's available.

So where can I send my new TV show idea?

Real (world) Giant bomb.

This week Vinny brings home baby Rex to the guys.

Hope Snooki has a spin off show.

This viewpoint is always a bummer to me, I experienced the same thing when I lived in New Zealand. America puts it's worst face forward on TV, because everyone likes to watch the freakshow, but when this shit gets shipped overseas, people assume this is what all Americans must be like, and make judgement from there. It is "reality" TV, after all.

Am I only the only person to notice the title of this thread is JerEsey Shore? That means the Jersey Shore isn't cancelled right..?

The Jersey Shore is a terrible show about terrible people. That said, my life hasn't changed, because I didn't watch the show.

What are you people doing with your life where the just mere existence of a show has caused so much distress for you? Dumb ass people will always exist, weather or not they have something to watch on TV.

As someone who works for MTV, that is false. MTV is struggling at the moment to find TV that works for them. I assume since Snookie gave birth she decided she didn't want to do it. Those spin offs are doing absolutely HORRIBLE in terms of ratings.

I'm glad it's coming to an end, but like has been said, the damage is done! There are so many people who act and look like train wrecks. It's disgusting. Instead of these shows just ridiculing them it's made them into idols. Why, whyyyyyy!

On the bright side, it brought such wonderful phrases as "vajiggle jaggle" and "beautimous" to the lexicon. (no, I didn't watch it, I just read the AV Club review)

Meh, for every shitty reality show there's a Breaking Bad or a Mad Men or a Sons of Anarchy or a Parks and Rec. TV's still good.

#45 Posted by Grillbar (1792 posts) -

thank fucking god.

now we just need to cancel all the other terrible shows

#46 Posted by mrpandaman (864 posts) -

I'd rather have Jersey Shore than Toddlers and Tiaras, and whatever Honey Boo Boo is.

Not saying I like Jersey Shore, I just didn't care to pay enough attention to it.

#47 Posted by Zleunamme (647 posts) -

So there is a God after all. It's time to celebrate. The other spinoffs won't last for long.

All of these shows are jokes, I'd like to think most of them are here for audiences to make fun of, but if there are people that love the show, I feel sorry for them. Now, the Kim Kardashian show should be next. They think they're inspirational, and do it for a good cause, but hell no. Get it out of here. The Honey Boo Boo thing is a little different, because while it's crap, it's on the total opposite of what some other reality TV shows are doing. Of course, I only know that because I've heard about it, and I've never seen any of it. Gah, I wish all reality TV (that didn't have anything important to give) would just go away. We'd be better for it.
