Firefox 3.0.8, to be exact. But all of my addons are missing from the bottom bar! Is this happening to anyone else?

I'll try to help. I got the new version also, but all of my little dohickeys are there, plus my search engines are there too. (The new version of MSN Messenger on the other hand, was initially buggy as all fuck.)

As long as you're updating Firefox, grab the NoScript addon for nearly iron-clad security.

I switched to Opera a while ago but...

Every once in a while whenever Firefox updates, it makes the add-ons dysfunctional.. You just have to wait for them to update to their latest versions.  Generally a message will pop up when you open Firefox saying "Firefox has found a update for so-so."

I hope this helps.

Mine keeps asking me to update, so I may do it tonight.  I normally use Safari, then Opera, then Firefox and never Explorer.

I'll see how it goes tonight and my partner who uses Firefox as a first choice will soon tell me if there is a problem.

Wasn't this one supposed to have the Private Browsing? Where is it?

On most of my machines, the latest works fine, but I'm not using a lot of
add-ons. On my primary home PC, I can't even get Firefox 3 to work properly
so I stick with Firefox 2.

Yeah I have the same problems when I update fire fox. In the future don't update it.

Probably not a good idea to keep using Firefox 2.  It's no longer supported so you're running an outdated browser and aren't protected against any new exploits.

The updates in 3.0.8 are to prevent remote execution code from running, pretty important stuff.
