I was curious to see how many others on GiantBomb broadcast on justin.tv. If you do, do you broadcast video games or something else?

I signed up for a justin.tv account so my friend could watch me play Fatal Frame II, but it didn't work too well on his end due to his slow internet connection.

I would assume you need to hook up your 360 to your computer's monitor, then record the game play via a typical capture card.

@fisher81:
Personally I broadcast it via a wireless capture-box type of set up. I send the video to my PC and broadcast it via the PC.

@fisher81: Well, I use a dazzle capture device but I can only get video out of it for some reason. I can play on my tv with a splitter for the video cable.

Yeah my friend has the dazzle but he was having trouble with it as well.

I use a HAVA HD, wireless and it sends 720p which is nice. Got it on sale

I've streamed myself playing Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 on Livestream before, but I couldn't get audio to feed through my microphone.

@JJOR64: it doesn't really take a lot of equipment to do it. all you really need is a camera that connect to your computer and boom. you have a stream.

@HairyMike87: I really don't want to put the camera facing the TV, it looks like shit.  I would rather get a Dazzle or something like that.

Yeah the equipment isn't too bad. Of course I have a pretty nice set-up for my podcasting, so I was set for audio and all I needed was the HAVA box. But despite that, my audio set-up was 180 dollars (Samson Shockmount, Audiotechnica At2020 Condenser Mic, Naday Pop Guard, DS7200B Desk Mic Stand/Onstage Boom), and the hava box was 110 dollars discounted. That's not exhorbitant, and if you just used a basic headset dynamic mic and a dazzle/hava, it could be cut to between 60-140 dollars for quality streaming (as quality as justin.tv gets).

@JJOR64: I used to do that. Got almost 100 viewers at once playing FFVII. But I agree it doesn't look the best.

@TwoOneFive: It's hard to get some viewers if the more popular streamers are streaming and hog all the viewers lol. Add me on jtv because I usually watch my friends streams and I stream often.

If I had a capture card I would do it all the time. Don't have one yet unfortunately.

Is it possible to stream pc games?  I can't figure out how to set that up in the settings.
