Kanye West has lost it!
"Say what you want, but Kanye has been the most entertaining pop icon I have seen for a long time."It's Martin Louie The King Jr. now. You will address him as such.
Through The Wire was his pinnacle as a rapper, I was really excited about him after hearing taht, but after that it all turned into a steady decline of bullshit braggadocio, chipmunk soul samples and terrible flows. However, I loved 808's And Heartbreaks and thought it was a really brave and original contribution from an artist I'd given up on ages ago.
Kanye's crazy though. He's a perfect example of a self loathing narcissist. And his delusions of grandeur and just plain childish tantrums are really unappealing character qualities as a person. I want to kick him in the balls.
I was never a huge fan of his prior albums, but was really pleasantly surprised by 808's.
When I first heard the concept "Kanye singing about being emo through an autotuner with backed mostly by breakbeats" I was intent on hating it.
Instead it turned out to be the most inspired and surprising release from a mainstream artist I'd heard in awhile.
I'm saddened by the rumors that he's gonna go back to yammering about Louis Vitton, bling and bitches
But after seeing that video I think Kanye needs an intervention of some kind. This is reminding me of the road Jacko started going down back in the day and we all know how that turned out.
