Summertime is the real summerjam from Kreay (it would have been great if it wasnt for V-nasty). This although a lot better than Breakfast (one of the worst song I have ever listened to, although the hook is great, but any presence of 2chainz kills the song) is just alright. Gucci Gucci is still her best song by a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide margin.
At least I can listen to this without wanting to turn it off, which is something I guess.
Talking about going Hard and SummerJams, this is the REAL SUMMERJAM of 2012:

The lyrics to gucci gucci were clever and densely packed and she doesn’t seem able to reproduce that in her new stuff.
Because she didn't write Gucci Gucci (I'm still not sure if she paid the ghostwriter yet). Hopefully she can do better next time, but then again I'm not sure what I expect from her anymore.

I don't care for that other video or kreayshawn, but I'm totally on board for some more of this.
I feel like I need to ask who Lil Debbie is and why people here seem to like her? After a quick search, her music isn't very good, so I assume it's an ironic thing.
Also, I still like Gucci Gucci. Her other stuff, not so much.

Love Kreayshawn's thuggish princess persona. This is no Gucci Gucci though.
Can someone explain Lil' Debbie to me? I dig her style but she just is kinda... there.
Go find the two Riff Raff tracks she raps on and you'll understand why it's better for all of us if she just kinda hangs out and smiles for a bit.

You're not wrong. But... I don't know, I'm kind of past that now because for as much as he's kind of awful, he looks like he's at least having a really good time putting all this music out. And he's clearly at least a little self-aware... otherwise he wouldn't be walking down a hallway shaking a bottle of fucking Miracle Whip. Who does that? It's nuts. He's nuts. He might be a genius. I can't even tell anymore. At least his Twitter account is appropriately stupid/great/stupid to help back up all this music he's doing.

For awhile I was thinking about producing alternate versions of songs that employ that hashtag rap bullshit that just inserts one of the Beastie Boys saying "like a" or "like I was" into every one of their stupid little pauses. That'd fix it, right?
@Milkman: fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I mean FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. Murdering that guy can't be considered a crime right? I mean come on right?

Sure. Start with YOLO. That one needs to go first. #YOLO #LikeYOLO
Riff Raff's hilarious. He was in an MTV reality show called G's to Gents or something. Thats where I recognized his name from a few weeks ago when I saw his video in my suggestions (I have no idea why that was there). Andy Milonokis' friends are all funny in a weird way.@Milkman said:

He made me uncomfortable.
@Milkman: That man is amazing, bless him. He's like a trashy Paul Wall with that grill. I thought we were over those things.

So is dirt nasty in every riff raff video? Or is that not him?
I feel like I'd be doing this thread a disservice if I didn't bring Chippy Nonstop into the discussion, seeing as how she's essentially made everyone else (with the possible exception of Kitty Pryde) completely obsolete.
She names her EPs with hashtags. It's truly the next level of using the Internet! #MONEYDANCE101 She just put out a new EP last week-ish and I think Jumpshot the Money is probably the best track. Oh, sorry, it's technically titled "☢☑ JUMPSHOT THE $$ MONEY $$ ☑☢." Because OF COURSE IT IS.
Guys....remember when Das Racist started out? here let me remind you....
Maybe one day....chippy nonstop will be the new das racist

That might be worse than lil wayne.
I'm still of the mind that nothing is worse than Lil Wayne, but if you look at the impact he's had on all the nonsense that's come after him, it's really sort of impressive. It's like everyone saw him and realized "oh, wait, I don't need to actually rap on beat or attempt to write skillful rhymes, I just need to have the most outsized personality I can muster." It's become style over substance in a surprisingly interesting way. Nicki Minaj isn't, like, some amazing rapper or anything, but at least she's not boring. Considering how staid and dull most hip-hop has become, I'll happily take all this weird left field shit. At least for awhile, anyway. Watching it all get popular is especially hilarious.
Now everyone please post vivid descriptions of how you do the "cooking dance." You're all... still... doing a cooking dance, right? That's still cool?

Isn't that true for all pop music though?
@Vinny_Says: Totally, but something about this current wave feels different. In the past, crossover rap has adhered to the basic structure and style of the form. People would rap on beat, they just wouldn't do it with any specific flair and they wouldn't have anything interesting to say. Now they're not distilling the "danger" of hip-hop down into something family friendly with pop appeal. If anything, it's dirtier and more subversive than most of the other stuff coming out. But, most importantly, it's all flair.
I'll even give Tyler the Creator some credit in this department, though I find most of his music to be about as boring as it could possibly be. He has the range of a pent-up forum poster who just posts whatever nasty words come to mind in hopes of shocking you with a shallow grab for attention. Booooorrring.

Das Racist really shouldn't be defined by this song. They deserve, and widely and fortunately get, MUCH more credit. Chippy Nonstop probably won't ever be respected in the same way Das Racist are.
@Trav: The day people respect Chippy nonstop the same way people respect das racist is the day I give up....reaally give up. I was mostly being facetious with my comparison.
Couldn't one argue that Nicki Minaj (in songs like Stupid Hoe or Starships) is basically what you described word for word. She has no substance and throws random garbage lyrics filled with expletives at you, but can do it with a ton of flair. For example, all of Stupid Hoe or in Starships where she says motherfucker but distorts fucker out. It's being edgy, but almost too much so to the point that is all she has going for her and as soon as people get bored of her shtick she'll be history. He has the range of a pent-up forum poster who just posts whatever nasty words come to mind in hopes of shocking you with a shallow grab for attention.
