If you're on twitter or, I don't know, the stage of a widely watched award show, be really "shocking" and just say it.
But she and her PR men got what they wanted, people are still talking about her without her releasing a song for maybe a few months now. They want her in the spot light so eventually people are like "Oh yeah she's a singer" when the next album comes out.
I kinda like that there is someone being weird, (even if is no where near as weird as previous lesser-known artists) in the mainstream. I guess you could say I like her persona more than her music. She hasn't crossed any boundaries that have not been passed by others numerous times before, it is just that more people notice when she does.

She does it to be controversial, just do what we did with Limp Bizkit, ignore it for prolonged periods of time and it will eventually get bored and leave.
I honestly think she does stupid stuff like that so people don't realize how plain she is. Compare her to Katy Perry and shes a huge dog with a pre-teen body. She needed something to keep people talking about her besides how manly she looks.
Bob and Tom had it right when they said she was a man once or still is. I can't stand her like I can't stand that kesha girl.

I just think the whole thing is ridiculous. I do think she goes too far because now I could care even less than I would've if she wasn't wearing a meat dress. Whereas before I may have checked out some of her stuff, if she was, you know, normal, now I have absolutely zero interest. To each their own though.
And to the person who said she hasn't done anything new, do you know ANYONE else that's worn a meat dress? I mean it's true that she is just shock-joking like so many others have, but she does take it to a whole new level of crazy that's not goth/S&M (though she does some of that too) that I haven't seen from too many others. not that I'm an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but yeah.
Big f'ing deal. Like, why is this even a discussion. I'm all for pop stars making themselves into spectacles. It's way more interesting than the Brittany Spears/Nsync era.
I don't give a damn about how she dresses but she took everybody's award at the VMAs! I just wish Katy Perry could have won something. That's my problem with her.
She looks like a train wreck thats not quite finished, here music is horrible and make me want to cut my ears off. For all i care she can crawl back under the rock she came from.

But her personality? pisses me the fuck off, i read an interview where she said she likes to consider herself the "next bowie" ..your no Bowie, Bowie was a musician, your just a tramp.
Do I find her style offensive? Of course not. Do I find her songs catchy? Sure. A pet peeve with me is "Being weird for the sake of being weird." which seems like what she's doing. She makes some good music, but would it kill her to just dress fucking normally?

Hey, that was a nice vid. But you can't honestly think we shouldn't judge her for looks. We all know that she does it too be flashy and in your face, so I think for that very reason we all can and should be able to judge such things.
I've nothing against her music, I just find it sad that she goes to stupid lengths to get the attention. Would she be as famous as she is if all we did was listen to her music and not have the in your face image to accompany it?
Its a shame that your music alone sometimes isint enough and requires some kind of gimmick to make people like it.
