Last Airbender film pics

Its being directed by M. Night Shyamalan. He kinda lost his mojo writing skills after Signs, so its nice to see him take on an entirely new direction. I will miss him not being in Philly all the time filming his movies though. 

Also, I am not a fan of the show, but I have seen a few episodes and was definitely impressed by the writing. The characters are fully fleshed out and...yeah i could tell it was something special for a cartoon. And going by what i've seen, this film looks pretty damn faithful. maybe we can get M. Night to remake that shitstastic fart of a film Dragonball Evolution!

Why is this property so popular? I've seen things about it here and there over the years, but why are people so hyped for this movie?

M. Night Shyamalan... WHY!?!

Avatar is awesome.

I was dubious at first cos' its seemingly a children's programme, about a 'bender'. The biggest bender of them all in fact. But I quickly got into it. And its a seriously high quality programme. I would actually rank it up their among my all time favourites. That said this film will probably suck balls. Can anyone think of a live action-film of an animated series that didn't?

This just makes me want to watch Avatar all over again.

I really like the show, although I think many people dismiss it too quickly since it aired on Nickelodeon.  Additionally, anime purists scoffed at it because it wasn't Japanese despite being heavily influenced by the style.  It was a long serial story in which the characters we meet at the start of the journey grow into much more mature and complex individuals by the tale's end.  There's a lot going on over the course of 3 seasons.  I can't help but worry that in turning it into a movie, much of what made the characters interesting will be lost due to time restraints.  I hope it works, but M. Night has been a complete yutz lately, so I question his ability to pull a project like this together.  But, the actors look fine to me.  Better than Prince of Persia, in my opinion.

I don't like Avatar, I don't like M. Night Shamawhatever and tihs movie is destined to be shitty.

They are totally going to ruin the show for me.

I like Avatar, and this does not look good. No offense, but I think the dude in charge of this thing should go find himself a nice cave, and sleep there for eternity.

Avatar was impressive. First time I saw it I dismissed it like many others, but once I gave it a shot the choreography of the fighting styles and storyline was way better than anything produced nowadays, especially in NA. Too bad the screens so far for the movie is subpar from what I expect.

I know the show was popular but is a live action movie really necessary?

Avatar as a show was surprisingly deep in terms of character development, with a Chinese art style that differed from anime enough to help foster its sense of uniqueness. This just looks retarded though.

While I'm scared about this movie because of M. Night's involvement...those pictures definitely give me confidence.  Plus, I read an interview with that 12-year-old kid...and he's basically a bad ass!!!  So, I'm a little more psyched about this movie.

I didn't know he wrote it. He's an awesome writer absolutely.

Avatar's actually a really great show. What's with Aang though? This guy is short and chubby compared to Aang's average height, and skinny figure.

I don't like any of the Nick shoes except for Spongebob. I just don't like Avatar. I tried watching it, but I couldn't at all.

So for those who watch the show; is it over? was it any good (please no plot spoilers!)

I've only seen episode of Avatar, but the episode I did watch looked like the Project Trico trailer. A LOT like it.

I'll definitely be boot-legging this when it comes out.

..for it's Achievements. Too bad movies don't have Achievements.

I liked the cartoon.  You might notice that I like Avatar because of my Zuko icon!  I don't know if the movie will be any good though.  Usually a movie based on a cartoon sucks!  Perhaps, I'll give it a chance if the movie gets good reception.

I liked the cartoon except the ending which sucked ass.
It was so anti climactic.

One of the main problems for movies like this and Dragonball, at least for me, is that throwing fireballs is a central concept in the source material.  I feel that it's such a cartoony idea that, when put in a live action seeting, it's just not believable.

I barely know what this show/movie based off show is even about, but dismissing anything based off 2 screenshots is extroardinarily retarded.
