Also, in that match, he teamed with Kassius Ohno against Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper and he got the pin so at least that match was probably rad.

I'm sure he will be fine. I'm not as attached to the mask as most seem to be.

It's not so much of the mask as it is the gimmick. You can't pretend to be a luchadore if you don't have the mask to hide your face. You can't have the gleefully fun promo's without the gimmick of being a luchadore that knows a very low level of Spanglish. You can't run to the ring with a cape without the mask.

He'll still be great in the ring, but it's the character around that that WWE is throwing in the garbage.

They never updated anything at that arena? Still has Mason Ryan and still says "Bo Rotundo" rather than "Bo Dallas"

This might give him chances that wouldn't. As much as I love the El Generico gimmick, how high up in WWE does that get him? I'm just not sure it is a kneecapping him or throwing away money.

Also this is assuming they are doing away with it all, they might want to test things. He was also introduced as Rami. So that means he has no gimmick right now.

It's a holdover from the FCW days where the Florida Champion would get his own banner in the FCW Arena and, since they don't run TV tapings there anymore, they haven't removed or changed them (there's also posters from Bragging Rights 2009 and other old PPVs featuring people who don't work for WWE anymore).

Also, from what I understand, he was announced by his real first name, so this could very well be a temporary thing while they either give he a new gimmick or make him a WWE Trademark-able mask.

First off, Paper that is horrible and I hope you can at least find out who took it.

Second, Prowrestling.net is reporting that Robert Roode's contract with TNA has expired (which explains why he hasn't been on TV since the UK tapings) and that he himself had to bring it to Bruce Pritchard's attention (Bruce is head of talent relations) as he accidently let it expire. Also he wasn't at the fan event for Lockdown, which sounds like it could be bad news for Lockdown itself.
