What's the best song? Here's what I think it comes down to.
Achilles Heel
Traveling Riverside Blues
When The Levee Breaks
Heartbreaker
Stairway to Heaven
Over The Hills And Far Away
Ramble On
In my Time Of Dying
What Is and What Should Never Be
Hey Hey, What Can I Do?
Walters Walk
My pick is a tie, between Traveling Riverside Blues and Ramble On. I know a popular pick for best Zep song is Hey Hey What Can I Do, and some days I agree. I also love the groove of When The Levee Breaks. Not many songs as badass as that, but when it comes down to it the tribute to Robert Johnson and Ramble On take the crown I think.
Please tell me there's some Zep appreciation out there.
Led Zeppelin
I really like When The Levee Breaks, All Of My Love, and No Quarter. There are a bunch of other great ones too. I probably like When The Levee Breaks the most though. I also enjoy the cover of it by A Perfect Circle. It's a very different interpretation, but I can still appreciate it.
Kashmir, Immigrant song, stairway, ramble on, when the levee breaks, and going to california are all the shit(s?).
My personal Led Zeppelin favorite, which was decided after much consideration, goes to Whole Lotta Love. I see no one here has even mentioned it, ha. That's okay, though. Most people don't seem to regard it quite as highly as I do. There's something about the sleaziness of the song that I really love. As for the other songs, my two main runner-ups would be Black Dog and Over The Hills and Far Away.
dude, its Achilles Last Stand not Achilles Heels, but its ok everyone makes mistakes
Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Whole Lotta Love, Starway to Heaven, Dazed and Confused and The Song Remains the same.
" Kashmir is my fav. "
I know I did. That is easily in the top five worst cover songs of all time. Maybe even top three.
I'm not so sure that Zep will ever go to Rock Band. I work on a television show called Supernatural, and the show loves to license it's classic southern rock. Lots of ACDC, lots of Boston, Styx, Bad Company, Kansas, that kind of thing. There are two bands we constantly reference, but will never be able to afford. One is Metallica, the other is Zeppelin.

Out on the Tiles, Achillies Last Stand, I Can't Quit you Baby (the live at the Royal albert hall version in 1970), The Ocean, Dazed and Confused, In my Time of Dying, the Rover, Heartbreaker, When the Levee Breaks...
Those are some of my favorites. I honestly love pretty much everything they've put out though:P.
Kashmir by far... I'm surprised, like others, that it wasn't on your list. Everything about the song is spectacular. I get chills when I hear it.
Dazed and Confused, Immigrant song, All my love.. .. Kashmir (i could go on forever)
