Imagine if tomorrow morning there was no music in this world? Now for all your analytical thinkers, I’m not talking about sound or speech as being considered music but, no hip hop, rap, R&B, jazz, gospel, classical, etc… No ipods, internet radios….nothing whatsoever. How dependent are you on music to make it through the week?

Some go to church just for the music, some can’t study or focus on a task at hand without music. Some people can’t even make it through a day at work without music let alone a week? Some use music not to think about important issues in their life.

What would you do to take the place of music? Are you addicted? Can you live without it?

I love music, but it is not my life. It's only that life wouldn't be nearly as fantastic without music...it would be livable but not as amazing

I agree, it would be livable, just more boring and not as much things to do.

it would be boring

Without music, life would be empty and soulless. However, I guess physically it's certainly possible to live without it.....

No music = no emotion.

Life without music would suck.

If there was no more music the world would be pretty damn quiet

Yeah, it would suck.

Plus, what would happen to Guitar Hero and Patapon?

#13 Posted by JoeDubbs (42 posts) -

Life without music would be awful.

Especially since I work in radio...things are bad as it is.

I've asked my dad this same question, and he always says it would be horrific.

I don't quite think it's that bad, but yeah it would really negatively affect me

#20 Posted by Apollo (467 posts) -

Personally i would just be bewildered at how it happened. Not too bothered with the fact that it has happened but more how did it happen.

I'd probably actually die without music, its literally like, my life.

Why would it be lonely?

Oh another thing i would be curious about would be making music. If i woke up and started singing would i too vanish? What about those barbershop quartets? Would they vanish?

I honestly wouldn't care at all.  I would actually probably be happy.

I imagine I could live without it, but it would make life incredibly duller.

ROFL.

Responding to the topic, I would not want to live without music. Screw life from there, I quit. Music makes up everything I am. You take music away from me, and my life is an empty shell.

I <3 music - can't live without. I could live without jazz, gospel and classical, but not metal and rap.

I don't think I have ever seen a single person type something positive about metal and rap in the same sentence... until now.

Yeah, because before music nobody ever smiled or anything and the only reason we smile or cry today is because of music...

Without music my head would asplode.

#35 Posted by Disclaim3r (120 posts) -

Haha. If there was no music, the better half of my year so far would have probably been sitting around staring at the TV on mute.
