Seems everyone either hates him or loves him.
WHERE DO YOU STAND?
Lil Wayne - Hate HIm of Love Him?
I never found Lil' Wayne to be a leading rapper; he always seemed like Lil' Jon, someone who never really amounted to anything good on his own, but always had some good guest spots. But then I heard "Tha Carter III", and I'm glad I was wrong about him. That is probably the best Hip-Hop album of the year, and I doubt anything will touch it. Though I can totally see why others aren't too fond of him (as you can see, I wasn't )
Hes horrible.
He sounds like hes crying everytime he fucking raps, wtf is up with that??
He is one of the worst rappers i have ever heard in my life, i am surprised he is so popular these days but i guess most people these days like musicians with no talent.
Like him a lot I think he's among of the best rappers of this generation. There are definitely more underground guys that are better in terms of the big time guys, he's definitely the most real.
I like him, but I don't like the way he's evolved recently. I think he peaked at Da Drought 3 and haven't really maintained that level.
He's been my favorite rapper since middle school, and I truly believe he is the best rapper of all time.
His underground stuff has always been great (and in some cases slightly better than his official albums), but Tha Carter III has become my favorite hip hop album of all time. It's amazing. Love "Playing with Fire", "Shoot me Down". His style (aesthetically) is really cool as well.

I'd take Nas' untitled over Carter III.
